Y… Mejor pasen a las fotos en sí.

tagged me for this meme. Well, wasn’t it a fun thing to do: I had my perfect opportunity to rant… I mean, to talk about Karoru, and the best of all, she was the one who asked for this, ho ho.

1. The person who tagged you is…
. She’s doing memes again, I wonder what that means…

2. Your relationship with him/her is…
Fellow fangirl, my accomplice in virtual crimes, ranting buddy anytime I feel like speaking ill of something/someone…

3. Five impressions you have of him/her…
-Ranty.
-Perfectionist.
-Perpetually stressed by her students and job (come on, that counts as an impression).
-Easily speaks her mind out.
-Demanding.

4. The most memorable thing he/she has done for you.
Hmm… Bear with me? Really, I can be so much of an annoying person sometimes, anyone that bears with me when I’m in those frames of mind surely deserves my gratefulness.

5. The most memorable words he/she has said to you.
Can’t remember… But I’d say, something regarding my fandom pairings…?

6. If he/she becomes your lover, you will…
…Face the end of the world? Don’t know, I have the impression two people like us can be friends, but lovers? I mean, will we be able to coexist in the same space and time without trying to kill each other? (“I like this pairing.” “Good for you, I hate it.” “Uh, of course, since you like those non-con stories…” “You’re one to talk, you like fluff and all that sappiness that makes my teeth rot…” “Hey, don’t mess with my fandom likes! You know you can share my bed, you can wear my clothes, I even cook for you and clean after the mess you leave behind, but my fandoms…!” “Oh, what? If it’s ME the one who has to put up with your ridiculous pairings and…” “Just DIE, you bitch!”) End of the dramatization.

7. If he/she becomes your lover, things he/she has to improve on will be…
…ACCEPTANCE OF MY FANDOM PAIRINGS.

8. If he/she becomes your enemy, you will…
…Probably look for a shaman to put a curse on her, so her students torture emotionally and psychologically her to death and she ends up committing suicide by going to the school she works in with a bomb set to detonate in 10 minutes. I know her, I’m pretty sure she’ll go for a dramatic end.

9. If he/she becomes your enemy, the reason will be…
…SHE DARED SPEAK ILL OF ONE OF MY FAVORITE PAIRINGS OR OTP.

10. The most desirable thing you want to do for him/her now is…
Give her a big zoological hug to cheer her up, and then convince her to place that bomb in her school nonetheless.

11. Your overall impression of him/her is…
…That she’s a very outspoken person. Maybe too much.

12. How you think people around you feel about you…
A bit freaked out. I change my mood too often – and fangirl a lot.

13. The characteristic you love about yourself is…
The fact that I can stop worrying about things in a matter of minutes. Of course, that’s not a good thing, really.

14. On the contrary, the characteristic you hate about yourself is…
I’m so lazy.

15. The most ideal person you want to be is…
The lost daughter of Bill Gates? So I can sue my father for some billion dollars.

16. For people that care and like you, say something to them…
Really, people, I love you for bearing with me. I know I can be the lowest piece of trash to you sometimes, but you’ve never let me down. You’re true friends.

Ok, so now I tag… , because I want to know what she thinks o me (or… maybe not). I’d say , but I don’t think you’re up for the same meme again, right, Karo? Besides, you can always rant… I mean, speak out your mind about me anytime. We can have a little fandom war and then forget about it.

Ok, in other news… Six more days until Sengoku BASARA 2 Heroes, and I made a post to the Senbasa community sharing some of my SQ scans. There is a couple of new doujinshis in the list if you’re interested in getting them… Or wait until I make a proper post in my blog with the links, once my latest order arrives sometime next week (an order with more… Senbasa doujinshi, of course). Problem is, it’s possible I’ll be away from my computer for the next days, or rather, that my computer will be away from me for a while, I’m not sure for how long. We’re sort of busy right now because of some rushing matters, and parting from the side of my beloved PC is one consequence of such situation.

Yeah, bear with me, I’m being dramatic all over again…

.343 – Writer’s Block: Current Favorites
November 12th, 2007 · 7 Comments · personal

…Despite not having a writer’s block in this moment (it’s just laziness), I think it’d be fun to do to reply to this prompt. (By the way, this is a prompt that pops up in LJcom’s index page on random themes. But you know I love to spam my blog about favorites, fandoms and the such.)

Favorite Book: Jingo by Terry Pratchett, the latest Discworld book I’ve read

This book belongs to the Night Watch series; this time, instead of fighting disorganized crime and the ocassional political plotter or magical mess-up (so common in the Discworld), the Ankh-Morpork City Watch, equivalent to modern time police force, has to stop a war. The city state (a mix between New York and London) and the not-so-neighboring country of Klatsch (think of an Arabia nation) are at a state-of-war due to the sudden appearance of a sunken island, which just happens to be located in the middle of the ocean that separates the aforementioned nations.

Again, the main character in the book is Samuel Vimes, commander of the Watch and the vivid image of Dirty Harry if this character were ever to appear in a magical setting. Vimes realizes there’s a political complot coming from Klatsch: someone just wants the klatschian prince dead(ambassador to Ankh-Morpork), and it’s up to the Watch to find out who that person might be.

Favorite Movie: I’d say Toki o Kakeru Shoujo, which is the latest movie I’ve watched. It’s based on a book by Yasutaka Tsuitsui by the same title, but instead of being the threatrical version of such story, is a sequel of sorts

It’s yet again another highschool story with a supernatural theme to it. The main character is girl named Makoto who gains the ability to literally leap in time, from the very instant she’s living to any moment in the past she remembers. Well, she spends 3/4 of the movie doing small and silly things like jumping back to the previous day so she can have his favorite meal for dinner, and so on. Until a tragedy unfols and we’re told about her power and how she obtained it.

What can I say? It’s a light and funny movie. The animation is of high quality and character designs are by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Shinseiki Evangelion char designer and mangaka), but don’t worry, there’s no Shinji Ikari in this story. In fact, Makoto has two endearing friends, your typical juvenile delinquent with a heart of gold and the big, intimidating guy who’s in actuality a very kind man. Can you see it coming as well? There’s a romantic subplot going on in there…

Favorite CD: It must be TRF 15th Anniversary. TRF is a Jpop band that, as the title of the CD might imply, has been in the business for a decade and a half already, but it’s never been that popular overseas. Thanks to anime everything related to J-Music has become widely known and popular outside Japan, but I still like to listening to some old bands I first met years ago, when “visual” refered only to something that you could see and didn’t have almost anything to do with music, ahem.

Favorite Videogame: You saw this coming, it’s Sengoku BASARA 2 (and it’s 17 more days until SB2Heroes is released). And… Hmmm… I should write something about the game, but I’ve fangirled so much in my blog about Senbasa that anything I could say just now would sound like a repetition.

And now, I suppose it’s time for me to get back to that text for my German translation class. I’ve been writing yet another of those repetitive posts… repetitive posts… posts… about Senbasa and some historical trivia, but I’m yet to finish it. As I said, it’s not writer’s block but plain laziness what’s preventing me from spamming your flists.
