Sengoku BASARA
U P D A T E S
[ 01.17 ] Maid by Akizou / Judo Chop.
Veeeery late update. Sorry; this is the last term of the course I’m currently taking and my schedule has gotten busier because of the upcoming final final exams. Today’s update was supposed to be Tsurarete Nemukunaru Maeni by Choutano C-E-Z, but I haven’t even gotten to scanning it, so… I figured out I could at least update with another DJ. Since it’s rather short (only 12 pages), I scanned and edited Maid some time ago, but hadn’t added to this page until now.
The title is very… descriptive. The cover too, I suppose. There’s an in-story joke about Mitsunari mistaking the word メイド (“meido”, maid) for 冥土 (“Meido”, the realm where the souls of the dead await to be judged by Emma-Ou); I didn’t catch it at all until my brother pointed it out to me. It seems it’s a common joke to be featured in anime/manga as for lately: to tell a character they’re going to get a “meido outfit”, and instead of the piece of armor from the Netherworld they were looking forward to receiving, they end up with the familiar dress-and-apron uniform.
…And after taking a look at the last page of the DJ, I was wondering if there was a play on words for “nurse outfit” in Japanese, ahem…
In my previous update, I wrote I was still waiting for my latest DJ order to arrive. Well, I’m still waiting for it; the other three parcels I had in the mail arrived without problems, but a bit of a delay. I think my package with the DJ got delayed because it was caught in the airport staff strike we had last month; right now, though, it’s been so long, I can only hope it’s stuck in customs (not the best of scenarios – but way better if the other alternative is to have it lost for good in the mail). Normally, a bunch of magazines with colorful covers wouldn’t be held for inspection (even if they happen to feature a, uh, flat-chested girl with a ponytail – I just remember there was a bengal’s Masamune/Yukimura DJ in the package), but there was also a PVC figure my sister added to the order. It’s a Saitou Hajime (from Hakuouki) figure; it sells for $100-300 in some places the net, but Mandarake had one at a price lower than the original because the box was damaged. I have 6 DJs in that parcel, and it won’t be that much of a tragedy if it’s lost for good (though, most of those DJ are already sold out at Mandarake, *sighs*); for my sister, on the other hand, it’s already feeling like the end of times.
I’ll wait another week before properly panicking, though. Customs can be amazingly slow this time of the year…
And I know it should have been advisable to wait until further notice before placing more orders, but – there was Comiket 81! This order should arrive by this weekend. I HOPE.
Note: Fanbooks & artbooks scans and CD dramas/music downloads are located in this page.
Take a look at the list of doujinshi currently queued for scanning?

[Cmnt]
This is so awesome… I’m so happy to have found all of this beautiful doujinshi! Thank you very much!
[Cmnt]

I;m sorry, but I’m having trouble downloading both Game Over and Kagome, Kagome no saki ni….

Thanks for sharing these~

I’ll credit you, of course. X3

You’re welcome!
Feel free to use my scans for scanlations. I’m always happy to be able to contribute with the fandom. Also, you can always contact me if you need higher resolution or the original RAW scans.

Oh DIOS MIO!!!!!!!!
saludos
[Cmnt]
I’m not sure how I found this site, but I’m so glad I did. xD
It’s really hard for me to find any BASARA doujinshi to download, because my computer only does ZIP files. These are good quality, too. Thanks a lot for uploading! You have a huge collection.
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome. I really enjoy sharing my DJ collection – mostly because I can get comments such as yours :)
On a sidenote… haven’t you tried installing or/and upgrading your Winzip version? I have Winzip 11.1 and it can open .rar files as well.
[Cmnt]
Thank you so much
) >O< )
[Cmnt]
You have no idea how much I love you for these xD And for the drama CDs. Thank you so, so, soooo much! ^^
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome! Thank you very much for all the love :)
[Cmnt]
thank you so very much xD i’m really grateful~~
you’re so kind, these scans are hard to find anywhere and they’re HQ too xDD
I’m so happy that i find this site <3
I'll be one of your eternal lurker xDD
[Cmnt]
Thanks for your comment! I’m glad you think my scans are HQ. I know I still have lots to improve when it comes to scanning and editing.
[Cmnt]
Love your dou :”> Do you have Senbasa 1 volume 1 and 2 ‘ ‘~ share me plz
[Cmnt]
Sorry, but I’m a bit confused about what you’re looking for. What do you mean for “Senbasa”? Is it the original manga, the artbooks, the fanbooks, or maybe a doujinshi title?
Just in case, I have some fanbook scans at this other entry.
[Cmnt]
oh, sorry this mean sengoku basara :”>, I use this like short name sorry then
[Cmnt]
No need to apologize; I know “Senbasa” stands for “Sengoku Basara”. I myself use that portmanteau. I meant there were so many materials (doujinshi, mangas, CD dramas, fanboos, artbooks and so forth) that have “Sengoku Basara” in their titles, I didn’t know which one you were referring to. Feel free to ask for a particular title: I might have it or, in any case, I might know where you can find it. The exception would be doujinshis, since I pretty much have only what you’re seeing in this entry.
[Cmnt]
Oh ye, that is right, the one I looking for now is manga XD~ Ranse Ranbu manga, also Senbasa 2 (if you have)
I love your scan, really love, Love you too XD~~ kyaaaaaaaaaa
[Cmnt]
No prob :) I do have Ranse Ranbu scans, but those are from a Chinese scanlation (with two pages scanned per single file). I assume it’s so hard to find RR RAW scans because the manga was licensed by an American publisher some time ago (and the scanlation group which was working in the project dropped it afterward). Anyway, if you’re interested, here are volume 1, volume 2 and volume 3 of RR.
I’m currently uploading what I have of the Sengoku BASARA 2 manga by Yaku Haibara (the first volume has been scanlated so far; the rest is in RAW), so please check back some time later :)
[Cmnt]
Ye, I definitely will
Thank you so much
*big hug*
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome. And thanks for your kind comments!
I finished uploading all 4 volumes of Sengoku BASARA 2 by Yaku Haibara. Currently only the first volume has been completely scanlated into English I think; the rest is in the original Japanese: Vol. 1, Vol. 2,
Vol. 3 and
Vol. 4. I also found RAW scans for Ranse Ranbu so I updated the links in one of my previous comment.
Let me know if there’s any problem with the links or the files.
[Cmnt]
Thank you so much!! all file is awesome XD~ by the way I download 2 chapter 1 Basara III and I found another ver of Basara 3 in Gangan ‘ ‘ The Draw is very alike Amatsuki. Still Finding~~
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome!
Now that you mention it, I think I did see that other version of SB3 in the Gangan magazine… but promptly forgot about it. I guess it won’t hurt if I go search for it again…
[Cmnt]
[Cmnt]
oh~I also ask my friend in Singapore to buy it~ If I have early than you I would share~ Anyway do you have a picture of that Cm about SB3?
[Cmnt]
Sorry for the delayed reply. I also reposted your comment in a new thread for easy reading; sorry about the nested comments: they become unreadable after a few replies have been written, so I’m trying to fix that.
Anyway, thanks for your offer to share the SB3 manga. Any and all contribution to the fandom is welcomed, I’m sure of that (and I’m also so looking forward to seeing Mitsunari). By the way, I was checking some magazine scans (but I can’t remember which magazine, sorry!) and I think I saw an ad for yet another version of SB3, this time in one of Shueisha’s publications. I’ll go hunt for it as well.
…And I’m sorry for this as well, but I think you’re asking about the scans of the SB3 manga? Both versions, in any case :) I did download them – and I suppose I then deleted then, because I can’t find them in my hard drive again! But I remember seeing better scans of at least one of the manga versions, so I’ll see if I find them. I’ll let you know if I do. Sorry for being this dense and forget about, well, everything, though.
[Cmnt]
AH~ non, I already have 2 chapter of SB3 one Eng, one Raw :”>
I just wanna ask about The picture present by Gangan to find it :D
[Cmnt]
No, sorry, I’m afraid I don’t have the magazine covers. I don’t think I’ve seen them, in fact; the RAW files I came across included only the manga scans and not the cover, if I remember correctly.
And not exactly related, but I updated this other page (my “official SB works page” of sorts) with scans of a fanbook I was missing, if you’re interested.
[Cmnt]
Oh~ I see, thank you to let me know that :)) But why you don’t Upload doujinshi anymore?
:(
[Cmnt]
Ha ha, you got me! Sorry for not updating this page in so long. I got into another hobby (ball-jointed dolls) and that’s monopolizing all my funds for the time being… I still buy DJs, but very sporadically now.
…Right now, though, I do have three SB DJs I haven’t edited yet. I’m supposedly editing and uploading them since I bought them, uh, roughly a couple of months ago. I’m sooooo lazy, I used to have an announcement in this very page telling people it was ok to remind me (by mail, comment, PM, as they preferred) to get to work already! Anyway, since I’m finally done with the fanbook (scanning the color pages felt like forever), I’ll try to get those DJ done. That said as well, feel free to remind me to upload them if I take long… too long… or just if it looks like I’m procrastinating again :)
[Cmnt]
Hahahaha~me too, Do you need Help :)) I’m free all day :)) (At leat now) :))
A by the way, can you buy Senbasa doujinshi of PropellerShiki or Bengal?
I alway try but never can :))
[Cmnt]
Well, I should really get those DJs done since I do have lots of free time now. Must… fight back… laziness… but it seems that’s a losing battle for me.
I was recommended PropellerShiki’s works but didn’t like them… Maybe because, and in spite of what my DJ collection might tell you, I’m not a big MasaYuki fan – and Someya Rui’s portrayal of the pairing was sort of lacking for me. Bengal, on the other hand, it’s the only artist/circle that compels me to buy their works on the spot :) Like I said, I’m not big on MasaYuki but as things turn out, I love the way this circle renders the pairing: lots of comedy, some seriousness, nice art, and the smut needed to keep every yaoi fan interested. Two of the three DJs I should really be editing *ahem* are by this circle, actually (one is a rather gen Kojuurou & Sasuke piece). Regarding PropellerShiki… well, I do have some scans leeched shamelessly from the net: has come (the second part, of course), Asahiruban Bon Ben Bon, Love Devil 1 & 2, Thanksgiving and Motto. And apart from the DJ listed in this page, I also have Ai han yuugi, Asian Wild Soul Mate, Karyuu Yusan and Toh rou. You’ve most likely seen them already… but in case there’s any not in your list, just drop me a line and I’ll upload them for you.
[Cmnt]
I think you a the same like me :)
Also I am a big fan of masayuki but I still find something to love in XD (like all yaoi fan)
I love Someya Rui because them drawing, so cute :))
But I also love another artis like Versus, Shirou Akira, Bengal or Kiz, Micromacro is in too
THen…..
I have almost dj of bengal so can you share me the other scan of Someya please? XD~
[Cmnt]
MICROMACRO used to be one of my favorite Senbasa DJs… until for some reason most if not almost all of their works turned into PWP or otherwise pretty smutty pieces, something I like as a side bonus in my doujinshi but not as the focus of 50+ pages. So I pretty much stopped buying Yamada Sakurako’s works after a while… and I really miss their Sengoku Musou DJs, which were more drama and less smut.
…I’m currently uploading the PropellerShiki’s DJs. They’re scanned by Doujin Anime so I’d rather not share them in this page – but since I don’t think it’ll be a problem if I do so privately, I’ll send you the links via email once I’m doing uploading.
[Cmnt]
Thank you so much.
Now I hear that Micromacro are drawing SB 3 manga for capcom XD~
Waiting a~
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome.
Ah yes, there’s this mangaka who made short pieces for SB2Heroes and who signs as Sasaki? Sasakura? Kou (sorry, I’m not sure of the reading of the kanjis). Said mangaka is in charge of yet another SB-related manga centered in Masayuki and, well, his style is identical to Yamada Sakurako’s. Not only the drawing, but the manga techniques as well, so everyone has pretty much assumed it’s Yamada from MICROMACRO under another name :) I think there are three different SB3 mangas so far (or at least I remember seeing ads for three different versions), but Yamada Sakurako drawing one of them (or a completely different one, *sighs, CAPCOM*) is news to me. In any case, and since I like her style (when she isn’t drawing smut I mean), I’ll be looking forward for any official SB work she might do in the future.
[Cmnt]
Then, I will looking forward about SB3 that time :”>
*dance*
by the way I’m saw that you can took DJs in DoujinAnime , where I can’t login in*Sign* so I wanna ask If you could found some DJs, what you think great in that?
I have very much DJ now but can’t see What is intersting except some like MICROMACRO, Bengal, Kiz/Nari and Shirou akira’s.
*ps : Kiz/Nari’s Doujin also have One named : Aquarium~ XD~`
Also find some disk Game of SB2 but I don’t have Ps2 to play :)) *sad thing*
[Cmnt]
I have several DJs scanned by Doujin Anime, but I didn’t download them from their site. I downloaded them from different pages before Doujin Anime’s express request of no resharing was enforced by said sites – and that’s why I don’t share them in my site. Also, please don’t ask to look for DJs; I don’t mind sharing what I have, but buying DJs or otherwise getting scans upon request isn’t something I do.
Ah yes, there’s Kiz/Nari’s Aquarium… Bliss released a scanlated version and I read it a few days ago. It felt more like comedy-driven and it wasn’t a bad reading (and, besides, Sasuke/Yukimura DJs are kind of hard to get), but not as good as their ongoing and pretty famous Revaival either.
[Cmnt]
oh yes, I understand what you say ~__~
Revaival is really great~ but is hard alot to understand :))
[Cmnt]
A, I forgot one thing, This site’s backround changing alot isn’t it :))
But I thought the one before (the black one) is much pretty :)
[Cmnt]
I’ve been changing layouts in my site. After several weeks with the previous one, I wanted a new one… it’s only that I haven’t been able to come up with a design of my own for the past year or so. So I pick a premade layout I like and customize it to my liking… If it ever looks like my site is having bugs, missing pages or goes kaputt – that’s just probably me, trying a few codes. Well, the previous design was quite nice, but I grew bored of it and wanted to try a minimalist layout…
[Cmnt]
Hi Scy
sorry for asking suddenly, but I wanna ask if you have a Raw Scan of Revaival # 5 :| I have one but it is only with the brush of Micracle may ~__~
[Cmnt]
Thank you so very much! :D This has made my Spring Break!
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome, dear. Thanks for your comment!
[Cmnt]
Hi, Scyllua
I happened to browse your website. And it’s out of my expectation to find several DJs of SasuYuki here since this pairing isn’t as popluar as KyuuMasa or MasaYuki in China. I really enjoy Isaki Rika’s individual style of painting and plot, which is quite different from Tsunako’s.(I always consider her description style of SasuYuki as mildness and purity. So it really shocked me when I learned that she began to publish R18 DJ) Thank you for your generous sharing.
I wonder if it possible for me to translate your three scans of Rika. Your contribution will surely be mentioned by noticing your site;)
Thanks a lot.
[Cmnt]
Hello! You’re welcome. And thanks for your comment!
Well, you’re right: SasuYuki doesn’t seem to be that popular as KoMasa or MasaYuki, which is a shame since it’s my favorite pairing in SenBasa. I’m always looking for more SasuYuki DJs, only that they’re scarce, or the few ones that I come across aren’t that good. In that sense, I greatly enjoy Isaki Rika’s DJs, but my two complaints about this artist’s works? They’re too short for my tastes, and not that many (or at the very least, I can’t seem to find more of her works). Has she started drawing R18? Well… I think that’s coming as sort of a shock for me, too (I prefer her works more plot, “relationship”-centered rather than sex-focused, I suppose).
Of course, you’re most welcomed to use my scans for scanlations. I’m always happy to be able to contribute with the fandom. If you need higher resolution scans, or rescanning of some files, feel free to request them: I can provide those, too.
And lastly, thanks for spreading the SasuYuki love; the fandom definitely needs of this pairing.
[Cmnt]
Woa ‘ o ‘ I don’t know that you like SasuYuki Djs :D I like that couple too but not much as MasaYuki ~ gomene :P
I here to say that long time no see :D
[Cmnt]
Hello! Good to see you dropping by… And sorry for the late reply. It’s just been me and my usual laziness to update this page.
Yep, SaYuki is my Senbasa OTP. There are others I like a lot, naturally (well… my KoMasa and ChikaNari DJs might hint at them), but Sasuke/Yukimura is my favorite one. Too bad it’s rather hard to come across good and varied titles featuring the pairing… And no need to apologize. I also like MasaYuki, although I tend to favor works by certain authors when it comes to this pairing (*cough* bengal/Honoha *cough*). Well, I also enjoyed Sengokumaru’s MasaYuki works, so it was sort of a disappointment for me that the circle decided to change their focus to the KoMasa pairing after the release of SB2…
[Cmnt]
I understand what you feel, SasuYuki is my second favourite pairing in SenBasa – of course the most is MasaYuki *laugh* :)) I also like another pairing, but in SB3, the circle is also write about Komasa not masayuki or Sasuyuki anymore – so sad *cry* It is the disaster to me not big but still hurt TT^TT. By the way, what is the Sengokumaru’s works you mention ?? I don’t understand much
[Cmnt]
Well, the only other Sengokumaru MasaYuki doujinshi I found was Sugary Skill (you can check the pretty much sold out DJ here at JPqueen). I don’t really know if this circle released more MasaYuki DJs prior to changing pairings and becoming KoMasa supporters. Not that I complain too much about this, since I also like the KoMasa pairing, but I’d have loved to see more MasaYuki by Sengokumaru.
[Cmnt]
OK I already know who is! By the way thank you for updated :)) you really work hard!! *Hug*
[Cmnt]
Thanks for your comment! I really appreciate it.
Here’s another update… and I’m afraid I’ve run out of bengal/honoha’s DJs to scan for the time being. But hopefully I’ll have another Isaki Rika’s doujinshi up in two weeks time or so.
[Cmnt]
That’s ok ^^~, a by the way do you know the circle of doujinshi “Come home” ? ‘ ‘
[Cmnt]
The circle is called “Makibishi”, right? I have scans for only two of their DJs, “Go Home” and “Secret of the Tenko Kamen”, both scanlatedin Chinese.
[Cmnt]
Oh, right! I said about her because I want to ask about anotherdouof her!Nintama, do youknow that?
[Cmnt]
I’m sorry, I’m afraid I know next to nothing about Nintama (except that’s also about ninjas… and a very long-lived anime, I think), and unfortunately I don’t have any fanworks related to this title.
[Cmnt]
Hola!
[Cmnt]
thank you !!!i never though i´ll get so many doshinjis from only one site !!!!! tanke tanke tanke !!!!
[Cmnt]
Thanks for the comment, dear!
I apologize for the lack of updates to this page, though…
[Cmnt]
Wao, you change you theme again !! It so Awesome XD~
[Cmnt]
Sorry for the very delayed reply! I intended to wait until I updated this page to reply to you, but somehow it took me over 3 weeks… Yep, I thought I’d kept the former layout long enough, and since most if not all of my layouts tend to be white-themed, I wanted to try something different for once. I hope this new layout doesn’t make the text harder to read or anything…
[Cmnt]
You made my day!
Wish you all the best! Thank you so much for this.I love you and your wonderful site!
[Cmnt]
Thanks! It’s my pleasure. I’m so glad you’ve liked my site so much. I’ll be updating my pretty neglected Senbasa section during the upcoming weeks, so I’m hoping to see you here sometime soon again. Bye!
[Cmnt]
Hi, I’m looking for Sengoku Basara manga Rans Ranbu Volume 1, 2 and 3, in English or Spanish. would greatly appreciate it if anyone knows where to download it. I just finished watching the series. and I read the 3 sleeves. thanks. please respond.
Greetings, Argentina.
[Cmnt]
Hello there. I’m afraid Ranse Ranbu hasn’t been scanlated in either English or Spanish. There was a group that was working on it and released a couple of chapters, but then CAPCOM licensed the manga in the US and they dropped the project. Ranse Ranbu is supposed to be officially released in English by Udon, which publishes CAPCOM books and mangas in the States; supposedly as well, they’d renamed the manga Devil Kings Basara, but it’s been like a couple of years already since Udon’s licensed it and it hasn’t hit the stores yet.
On the bright side, being Ranse Ranbu the only official Senbasa manga they’ve licensed so far, you can still find English scanlations for other SB titles (such as the Sengoku BASARA 2 manga by Yaku Haibara, or the ongoing Sengoku BASARA 3 Roar of the Dragon). As far as I know, there’s only group working in Spanish scanlations, but they focus in doujinshi instead.
[Cmnt]
Hello Scyllua, I stumbled here a time ago looking for Sengoku Basara doujins :) Thanks for sharing so many of them!
I want to ask if you have noticed any Ieyasu/Mitsunari doujins, or is it just that no one has made them yet? I was very surprised to see the Mitsunari/Yukimura one, but I’m not a big fan of Mitsunari seme..
Also where do you buy your doujins from, if you don’t mind me asking. I greatly appreciate that you share these wonderful doujins, it helps me discover new doujinkas that I really like, however I also like to have a real book in my hands too ^^
A big thanks to you!
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome. I’d neglected this page for so long, it was already time for me to update it…
I’m looking for Ieyasu/Mitsunari doujinshi myself :) So far I’ve seen like… two… in the store I usually buy from, which is Mandarake. I’d also say we don’t see more IeMitsu DJs because the game was released a couple of months ago and it’s still too soon for artists and circles to be publishing them. But in a few months time, and given the popularity of this pairing in the Japanese fandom, I’m sure we’ll see plenty of IeMitsu doujinshi. I’m hoping so!
Currently I only buy from Mandarake. Unfortunately, quite a number of Japanese sites such as Toranoana won’t ship overseas, and other DJ stores you might find online don’t have a large catalog. That’s why Mandarake comes as a pretty good option, since they’re constantly getting new stock and their prices and shipping fees are pretty affordable, and of course, they do ship overseas! It’s definetely worth a try.
[Cmnt]
Wow! Doujinshi from Bengal!! Thank you for your sharing ^^
I have 2 favorite pairs, Kojuurou-Masamune & Masamune-Yukimura. I like Yukimura the most in Basara. Who will be sincere, fair and innocent like him in that war, I think noone. Thus, it is fun to see his every action :D
Ps. Truly said, ever since I got addicted to Basara, I spend a lot of my spare times reading mangas & doujinshi as well as learnt more difficult Kanji words. Even I can read Japanese, but I never want to go through the stories page by page like this. Basara makes me work hards on what I have lacked before ^^ !!!
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome. To be honest with you, and even if it sounds as a contradiction (I mean, take a look at my doujinshi collection), I don’t like the MasaYuki that much… unless it’s a bengal DJ. This is one of my favorite circles and I try to collect every book I can find by them. Obviously, I don’t dislike MasaYuki either (otherwise I wouldn’t have like 20+ books of this pairing alone), but this pairing ranks rather low in my overall preferences.
Ha ha, I’d say it’s the opposite with me: I can manage a very little Japanese (and know like a couple of kanjis), however I try to go through doujinshi and manga page by page… even if I can’t understand like, uh, 90% of the text. Guess it’s time for me to properly learn the language (even if it’s only so I can figure out my doujinshi titles). But it’s a good thing that Basara is motivating you to learn and practice your Japanese :)
[Cmnt]
Thank you! I’ve been wanting to check out Bronze Eit’s djs for a while. Much appreciated.
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome! Unfortunately, I have but a few Bronze Eit DJs, but I’m glad you like them nonetheless.
[Cmnt]
saludos y gracias de new wapa ^o^
[Cmnt]
Wow!! This is a great collection of Sengoku Basara doujins!! Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful doujinshi’ to us!!
I have a question: I downloaded Basara SAIROKU #1 and it was great, but later on I found out that the doujin artist released two more (Basara SAIROKU #2 and #3).
Do you have any idea where I can download these??
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome! And thank you very much for your comment.
Well, Basara Sairoku #2 is another compilation of Micromacro’s works; I haven’t seen the whole volume scanned, but you can find almost all of the doujinshi included in said book individually. Sairoku #2 includes until the last dog dies, All’s well that ends well, Onsen ni Ikimashita, Dum spiro, spero, Alter ego and a short story drawn especially for that volume: as you can see, I was only missing Alter Ego from that book, so that’s why I never bought it :) (And, oh well, I’m not a big fan of Matsunaga/Kojuurou either…)
I haven’t been able to find any information about Sairoku #3, but I’m assuming it must include all other Micromacro’s works, namely Mix Up Game!, Mix Up Love!, Revenge is Sweet, Life is Game and Amantes, amentes. If I’m not wrong, all Micromacro’s Senbasa DJs are available for download at the Aarinfantasy Forum.
Hope that helped!
[Cmnt]
Wow, I love your collection! Though…I’m really hoping you might be able to find some IeyasuxMitsunari doujinshi…
I’ve been dying to read something about those two!
Regardless, may your good progress and fortune flourish!
[Cmnt]
Thank you very much for your comment! And your wishes :) Best wishes to you as well.
At last, I’m seeing some Ieyasu/Mitsunari doujinshi at the store I usually buy my DJ from, Mandarake. So far I’ve grabbed a couple; I saw some samples of those doujinshi at their respective artists’ Pixiv accounts and I liked them. I’ve been neglecting this section again and I still have other DJ scans to edit and upload, so I’m afraid it’ll be some more weeks until I can get to those IeMitsu goodies. Wait until then, please!
[Cmnt]
Pixiv artists are incredible, I’m lucky to be acquainted with a few of them.
Your news excites me. I’d say I cannot wait, but that would be a little selfish. Please take your time with what you need to do–I’m happy enough that you considered my request at all. Just do your best at what you do.
I hope to see them up soon! Take care~
[Cmnt]
Oh, I’m so jealous~ I’ve found the Pixiv accounts of several doujinshika and artists I like by mere chance, and I’d wish I knew some Japanese so I could leave them a message at the very least. It’s so great that you’re acquaintances with some of them.
It’s my pleasure to share these scans. It’s so nice to receive comments such as yours, and I can’t thank people enough for all their patience (well, it’s a fact I’ve taken over six months to upload a single doujinshi). I updated this page today, so there are two more ChikaNari DJs to go until I get to the IeMitsu ones. Again, thanks for your patience!
[Cmnt]
I’ve only had the small chance to just /speak/ with a spare few, really, merely due to my connections to them on DA. TEMARI is an artist you should really considr if you haven’t already–her Yukimura/Sasuke pieces are absolutely amazing!
(And not to worry…I don’t really understand that much Japanese either… >3>; )
The pleasure’s all mine. It’s wonderful people like you who practically save me from going completely berserk.
Take care~
[Cmnt]
Sorry for the late reply!
…But, being able to exchange even a few words with those artists is already great. And you’re right, Temari is such an amazing artist; I found his (eh, her?) Sasuke fanarts by chance when browsing Pixiv and instantly liked his somewhat sketchy art style. But to be honest, I’m stalking (ahem) some Pixiv artists mostly for my OTP in Senbasa 3, Yoshitsugu/Mitsunari. I’m aware that a lot of people over here doesn’t like Yoshitsugu -well, they actually seem to HATE him-, but the YoshiMitsu pairing is fairly popular in the Japanese fandom, hence Pixiv has become my main source for fanworks centered in this couple.
Thanks for the nice words! Truly, I began scanning and uploading my doujinshi as a way to thank the people who also shared theirs on the net… but receiving nice comments such as yourself is always very encouraging.
[Cmnt]
Absolutely no worries.
Oh my god. I love that pairing. I’m such a hoarder of that pairing that I’m almost disgusted with myself on how happy I get when I score big time!
TEMARI was nice enough to do an art trade with me once. It was embarassing because my end of the trade seemed so horrid compared to hers…but I’ll improve! >O<
Oh Temari…She's so incredibly talented. Do you happen to have a DA? I'd love to make art for you if you'd like.
[Cmnt]
Hello, kuchi! I hope you don’t mind I edited your latest comment so it appeared as a new thread. (It’s a small nuisance, these nested comments in WordPress. After some replies, it becomes impossible to read them because they’re limited to such a small space.)
Ha, ha :) I’m sooooo happy I’ve found another YoshiMitsu fan. Well, I haven’t talked to many Senbasa fans, but practically all of the few I did know have told me they couldn’t stand Yoshitsugu, let alone picture him in a pairing with Mitsunari. And, hey! Nothing to be disgusted about when scoring big time! I can spend hours browsing Pixiv, stalking for more Yoshi and Misu goodies, and couldn’t be happier when I happen to stumble on a nice illustration… or short comic (uh, should I call these “doujinshi” instead? Even though they’re not printed, but the principle is the same). My YoshiMitsu folder contains mostly these short comics, which I simply love because they’re such a way for artists and fans to approach these characters and their interaction with each other.
Oh, please don’t say that. Maybe your illustration didn’t look so nice in comparison to Temari’s (well, who wouldn’t like to draw like these very talented artists, after all?), but it’s the intention what counts :) And besides, it’s so great you could do an art trade in the first place! I, for instance, can’t even draw a fairly straight line, so my nephews and nieces laugh at my poor drawings (the best I can get are “stick people”… and usually those have a longer line for a leg, or a not-so-round head). Well, I do have a DA account, but never really made any good use of it and it’s pretty much abandoned right away. But thank you very much for offering to make art for me! I really appreciate it :P It’s not like I’m not saying I wouldn’t like to see your drawings (oh, I’d love to), however I’m afraid I can’t give anything of the sort in exchange… except for more scanned doujinshi, maybe?
[Cmnt]
Hello, Scyllua, no need to fret over such things like that! Good to hear from you!
It’s rather sad, actually, how not many people here like him. I absolutely love his design and story, and what’s not to like about that character? I suppose tastes are rather different around these parts…
The majority of my folder consists of whatever I could possibly get my hands on, really. Since the PIXIV account that I’m using belongs to someone (borrowing it just for the viewing pleasure,) I can’t contribute any of my OWN art to the YoshiMitsu fandom. They don’t seem to accept Canadian e-mail addresses.
As for your drawing “dilemma”, there’s not a person in the world who cannot draw. It all hones in skill, supposedly–I’ll agree, I’m horrid with lines and keeping my art from looking like the work of a drunkard. But time and practice should do the trick.
You owe me absolutely nothing.
I’d be more than happy to draw you a request if I could.
[Cmnt]
Sorry again for the late reply! I’m busy with RL these days and that keeps me away from the internet… but I can’t deny I finally got to play Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes, ahem. After exchanging comments with a friend, I got convinced to try the English version and, well, I can say one thing for sure: now I know what so many people seem to dislike Yoshitsugu over here. For the most part, the dubbing is good/just ok (the translation seems to be another issue altogether, though), but Yoshitsugu’s voice actor changes the personality of the character a lot in the English version IMO. Anyway, I’ve only played for a couple of hours (I mean, this games requires like 100+ hours of gameplay) and this is just my first impressions…
I’m a bit surprised at Pixiv not accepting Canadian email addresses… Although I must admit that might be the case. It seems many Japanese webpages and online services don’t accept certain email addresses (such as Hotmail), but I’m registered at Pixiv with my Yahoo address and haven’t got a problem regarding it. If they accept a Peruvian Yahoo address, I don’t see why they wouldn’t accept a Canadian one :) Have you tried another email address?
I’d really love to see your art if it’s available online! Your words have been pretty encouraging to me as well. It’s true, practice and time must teach something to even people so art-challenged as myself… I remember I loved to draw when I was a kid, and didn’t do it as bad as I claim my drawing to be nowadays. It’s just that I stopped drawing, and never took the time to practice again… I’ve been thinking of taking a course or just practicing by myself so I can at least draw my version of stick person!Mitsunari (and scare half the internet with it, ha ha).
[Cmnt]
Yoshitsugu’s english adaptation is incredibly hard to get used to. The Japanese seiyuu adds its own richness to the character, whereas the english voice actor only creates a completely different character. He almost sounds creepy enough to put him on the levels like ‘pedophile’ or ‘creeper’ as I’ve heard people call him.
I’m not entirely fazed by it, considering the amount of damage /Kenshin’s/ voice caused me.
Getting a PIXIV at the moment isn’t really a top priority to me at the moment. Once I manage my time, I’ll consider trying to get one yet again.
I’m glad to have sparked as much inspiration in you as your work has inspired me. I’d be happy to share with you my work. It’s not as amazing as others, but I’m working on it.
http://kuchisakesmile.deviantart.com/
I can’t wait to hear from you soon! Take care~
[Cmnt]
Sorry for the late reply (yet again!)
…I’d find those comments about Yoshitsugu being a pedophile or a creeper funny, if only the idea didn’t freak me out so much, eww. I hope people just call him so because of Tsuruhime – in the game, Yoshitsugu’s “ways” to win over Tsuru and his very flattering tongue were played straight for laughs (taking into consideration the seiyuu), but in the English version I must admit they just sound so… wrong. And after playing SB:SH some more, I must say Michael Sorich’s perfomance does deliver us a totally different character altogether – which annoys me a bit deal. Sorich’s acting is quite good and convincing, but changes the character’s original personality, and I feel that even Yoshitsugu’s relationship with Mitsunari as well. I still have to go through Yoshi’s second story mode, and spite of everything, I’m looking forward to it and Sorich’s perfomance…
I know everyone is traumatized by Dino Andrade’s perfomance as Kenshin, but even if people won’t agree with me on this, I don’t find it that bad. Ahem! Let me explain. Yep, I have no idea why they decided to make Kenshin sound like an old granny with a sore throat, but on the other hand, I do feel the voice actor gets his lines right and is convincing in most dialogues. I. Just. Need. To. Get. Used. To. It.
Oh, I see. Well, I did set up a Pixiv account as soon as I could, since I was using my niece’s. I figured out it wasn’t a good idea to bookmark Yoshitsugu and Mitsunari fanarts in her account, as she had a big collection of Pokemon and pretty G-rated illustrations in it. Uh, especially not now that I changed my account settings to be able to browse the NC-17 material on the site :P
Ah, your Senbasa fanarts are so cute! I’m talking about your SD renditions of Mitsunari and Ieyasu, of course. Hope you don’t mind I added to my favs (but, err, I’m sort of bad at commenting at DA…) I like your somewhat clean, somewhat sketchy style on your other drawings… Ha ha, I never read Romeo & Juliet but my syblings (who did, since it was compulsory for their Literature class) swear it’s boring to death. Does Mitsunari think the same? Hm, I’d say he looks a bit listless rather than bored. And personally, if it comes to Shakespeare’s works, I’d picture him reading titles such as Titus Andronicus (or Hamlet, maybe?) instead, ahem.
[Cmnt]
Michael Sorich did a wonderful job, I’ll give him that much credit. It’s just a little unnerving that they would choose his sort of talent for Yoshitsugu’s dialogue. Did they even try to consider what he’d sound like when he talked to Tsuruhime? No matter. Opinions are opinions.
Keeping pictures of questionable content might not be a good idea, especially when they’re in the hands of someone who’s standards range in the G section. Good call for the change.
…and lucky you. I can’t see any of those things *huffhuff*
Last but not least, thank you ever so much for your kind words. Mitsunari was probably told to read it for class or something…he probably gave up half-way through.
‘I seriously don’t really care about this nonsense.’
[Cmnt]
I was wondering that, too. It becomes apparent they took into consideration the original acting for some roles (Hideaki and Oichi’s voice actors don’t have a thing to envy of Jun Fukuyama or Mamiko Noto, I’d say), but one has to wonder about others such as Yoshitsugu… or Ieyasu. Whereas Liam O’Brien’s acting is quite good as well, his portrayal of Ieyasu is rather serious and solemn – unlike his more easygoing, lighthearted Japanese counterpart. I feel it sounds just awkward in the English version, as other characters point out Ieyasu “should take things more seriously”… even though he’s actually sounding serious enough.
Hah hah… Yep, now I can see all the NC17-rated goodies, but I also need to be extra careful when browsing the site now! Those illustrations pop up without further warning… and there’s nothing like finding out your niece has been peeking over your shoulder all this time, silently…
Hah ha, that’s what Mitsunari would say about the book, indeed! But I’m pretty sure he’d read it if, let’s say, Hanbei were to tell him so: “Mitsunari-kun, this is a book about two star-crossed lovers from rival clans who face a tragic end. I’m sure you might find this reading… instructional.”
[Cmnt]
That’s an impressive collection. Thank you so much for sharing! <333
Especially for:
- Micromacro sairoku (I've been missing "Let Sleeping Dogs Lie Side Y" :D )
- Choutano C-E-Z works – love them! <3
- Fuuma anthology! :D I've just bought it some time ago, but still haven't received it, so thanks to you I got a nice preview. ^_^ I'm not a big fan of anthologies (the stories are too short for me, and it's often like one or two good stories among a bunch of badly written, ugly or just mediocre ones :/. Well, I still buy them anyway – when you like rare pairings, that's often all you can get -_-), but I enjoyed this one quite a bit ^_^
- and everything with Keiji! <3
And probably much more stuff I picked here and there that was scanned by you!
Thanks a lot! <3
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome. And thanks for your comment!
I also love Choutano C-E-Z works… this has to be my favorite doujinshika circle as for now. Even though if I actually prefer Motochika paired up with Ieyasu thanks to SB3… And you’re so right. Most anthologies I’ve come across are worth the time and money for a couple of stories at best, and more often than not, these stories tend to be the shortest in the book. But I still buy them because they aren’t usually that expensive, and you can get to know about the work of more authors and doujinshika thanks to them. The Fuuma Kotarou Anthology turned out to be better than I’d expected (but my favorite pieces of the book are the short ones, yep); I actually grabbed it because it was (it is) so hard to find anything Kotarou-related in the fandom. I’ve been seeing some DJs focused on the Matsunaga/Kotarou pairing as for lately, though, and I’m suspecting it’s due to the anime series (which I haven’t watched), hmm…
Sorry if I don’t have much Kenji-related. Actually, I never liked him… that’s it, until SB3 came around. I must admit this game has made me change my views on many, many characters of the series – and some pairings, too!
[Cmnt]
I LOVE Motochika Chousokabe x Motonari Mouri PAIRING! so keep them coming doll ^^ v
thanks!
[Cmnt]
Hello! And thanks for your comment.
I have other 8 ChikaNari DJs by the same circle (Choutano C-E-Z) I need to scan and edit, it’s just that I’m being too lazy to have them up in a more timely fashion. But you can expect more updates in the next weeks :)
[Cmnt]
Hello! Thank you so much for all these lovely scans! I’ve used a couple of images for my layout and linkage buttons on my Takeda Shingen fansite. I’m planning to include a media gallery later on, if it’s okay with you I’d like to include a few pages to redistribute (of course I will credit you!!)
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome!
It’s good to see Shingen has his fans, too :) I’m afraid the other, err, younger characters get most of the fandom attention… Please feel free to use my scans. Credit is much appreciated, thank you very much!
[Cmnt]
Nice to meet you. Do you have “Dynamite sensational weekend2″ for Motochika Chousokabe x Motonari Mouri? Because I have found this doujinshi for long time.
I wish if you have or found it, could you post this book in your website?
[Cmnt]
Hello! Nice to meet you too!
About the doujinshi you’re asking for… Well, I just bought it :P The little problem is, I bought it on Friday so it’s still in the mail. It should be arriving in about a week. Once it’s here, I’ll try to scan it right away and add it to this page. I was planning to edit Dynamite Sensation Weekend #1 first (which I bought along the second part), but since that DJ is already available on the net, I guess I can just skip it in favor of the second volume. So please wait for it a little longer!
[Cmnt]
Oh~ You brought this DJ “Dynamite sensational weekend2″, I wish you could post it, because I have see the chinese for this DJ’s first volume, but haven’t see the second one. orz
[Cmnt]
Don’t worry, I’ll post it once I finish scanning/editing it. Maybe by next weekend, if there isn’t any delay with the mail.
[Cmnt]
When you see 「Ouja no Kegare 4」?
[Cmnt]
When? Well, it was last Friday. Mandarake added it to its catalog, but it went out of stock right away.
…Ahem, sorry for the lame joke. I take you’re asking whether I have that DJ? Sorry, I don’t. I didn’t buy it back then because I’m running on a tight budget at the moment. I’m hoping to buy it sometime in the future.
[Cmnt]
Thank answer!!!
I will patiently wait for*(^ˇ^)
[Cmnt]
Aww…thank you so much for sharing ><
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome! Thanks for your comment.
[Cmnt]
Se agradece enormemente su gran aporte !!
es un arduo trabajo y le doy las gracias haciéndole un altar ….
magnifico todo n.n
[Cmnt]
:) No hace falta un altar, pero te agradezco mucho el comentario. ¡Gracias!
[Cmnt]
Thank you for sharing! Even though the amount is small, I love all your IeMitsu doujinshis! (and looking forward to more doujins of them <3) I also like your Kojuurou/Masamune doujinshis too! xD
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome!
I’m also looking forward to adding more titles to my small IeMitsu collection. Almost nine months after SB3 release, IeMitsu DJs are beginning to pop up in the store I usually get mine from (Mandarake). I hope they stock some by my favorite Pixiv artists :)
[Cmnt]
The number is sure growing. OWO I’m also looking forward to the IeMitsu doujinshi collaboration that is going to be made by several Pixiv artists. XD
By the way, can I share the download link to Tumblr? Of course, I’ll credit you and link the post back to here~
[Cmnt]
Really? I haven’t been to Pixiv in some time now (err, like a week or two :P ) and it already seems like I’m missing on several things. For starters, I think I haven’t seen the IeMitsu collaboration you mention; I’ll have to go look for it (and hope it’s stocked by my store once it’s available!)
Sure, feel free to share the link to this page (
it’s more advertising for my web, yay!Just kidding.) I’d just kindly ask not to directly repost the download links to each doujinshi; I try to keep an eye on hotlinking -even if it’s just one image or one file- because we have other hostees in this very same domain, and I wouldn’t like to affect them because of bandwidth issues. Thanks![Cmnt]
http://chikuwa.xii.jp/bsr/sgh1600/top.html the link of the collaboration doujinshi. Well, it has “Sekigahara” on the title and from most of the artist’s works, they mostly draw IeMitsu oWo
Oh, thank you so much!
And btw sorry for the late reply >_>
[Cmnt]
No prob :)
Thanks for the link to the collaboration doujinshi! However, from what I read under the information tab, it isn’t a collection of stories, but rather a compilation of color illustrations by different artists. It also reads it’s 28 pages long, and judging from the number of participants (ten), I assume it should feature a similar number of illustrations. Well, I must confess I’m not overly interested in illustrations only (I’d rather see manga, ie. doujinshi), but if it happens to be stocked by the store I buy from and my budget allows it, I guess I could as well add it to my list.
[Cmnt]
Hello! I’m from a scanlation group and I would like to know if you allow we use some of your scans for a Japanese-English translation/adaptation?!
Of course all the credits will be give to you, and any other credits page that you want to be added when released!
I do hope for your reply!
Have a nice day,
HokaHoka~
[Cmnt]
Hello! Sure, you’re most welcomed to use my scans for translations. I’m assuming you’ll be scanlating the DJs; if so, I can always provide better resolution or HQ files of the scans. Feel free to ask if you need rescans (you can drop me a line at my email address for those).
I’ve just saw at your LJcom community you’re planning to trasnlate/scan the Ouja no Kegare series. I’d just like to tell you I bought the fourth volume of the series, if you’re also interested in that one; at the moment, I don’t know how much time packages from Japan might take because of the recent earthquake, but if my mail isn’t delayed, it should be arriving by next weekend (around the 26th or the 27th). Also, I couldn’t help notice you’re hotlinking my Photobucket account :) It’s no big deal, but I’d greatly appreciate it if you could upload the cover images to your own server. It’s just that I share my personal domain and Photobucket account with other people, so I try to keep a tab on the bandwidth as to not affect them. Thanks!
[Cmnt]
Thanks a lot for agree with my request!
OwO you would even do that! I mean scan for better resolution…OMG I’m really happy! And it have volume 04…..O.o so much xD, but still I’m interested in it, but that your time to scan it since I don’t know when we will have it ready *kicks butt*
>.< I'm sorry I will change it right now…it wasn't my intention *kicks again*. I'll change it right now!
Once again thanks a lot for it, once we start this series I will let you know as well I will post when we complete it!
A big hug as well a special thanks kiss for being so nice!
Greetings,
HokaHoka
[Cmnt]
Sure I can rescan any file or even any whole DJ you might need. I know I’m not the best at scanning which, err, it’s a very nice way to say I’m actually quite bad at it. I’m still can’t get straight scans, for instance, and barely understand how to use our not-so-new scanner.
As I said, it was no big deal that you were directly linking to our Photobucket account… Well, each image was like 50kb or so, so it wasn’t like I was going to run out of bandwidth anytime soon – but I do try to keep track of hotlinks and the such because of the hostees. Currently, I eat about 120GB of monthly bandwidth because of the scans and the CD dramas/OST files alone, and my sister -whom I share this web hosting with- is beginning to give me the evil eye for that :) Anyway, thanks for changing the hotlinks!
It’s my pleasure to be able to contribute with the fandom. And please take your time with the scanlations; we all know those require quite a lot of time and effort. We fans surely appreciate what you do.
Bye!
[Cmnt]
OwO that is so goos, and I must say your scans aren’t that bad so don’t need worry, I may ask better scans because the Japanese translators may need bigger ones!
Also for make a “trade” We will share with you original RAW’s of 6 doujinshis we are receiving if you want of course!
It will have watermark but hope you don’t mind! ^^
AND THAT IS A HUGE monthly bandwidth xD
But I already change it (changing it actually XD) So hope it’s ok. As for your sister…hope the “evil eye” will stop *crossfingers*
Thanks for being so nice to us! We will make our best as soon as we can *promise*
So once again, THANKS
Hugs and BYE! ^^
[Cmnt]
Oh~ Then I suppose I’m getting the knack of scanning/editing at last! But anyway, just feel free to ask for bigger resolution scans whenever you need. It’ll be my pleasure.
I’ll appreciate it if you could send me those RAW scans :P How can I say “no” to more doujinshi goodies? Of course, watermarks aren’t a problem at all.
…And that reminds me. I’ve read some of your scanlations; specifically, your Family Walker series scanlations. In fact, I made a post so I could share them here at my blog. As the files include the credits page and I saw no request not to reshare them, I assumed it was ok to repost them. Err, is it ok, isn’t it? I realized I never noted down what the scanlation group for those DJs was, so I’m off to make the corrections on the spot. But if you prefer me not to reshare them, just tell me and I’ll take them down. Sorry for that!
Ha, ha, it’s something to be expected, my sister’s evil eye on me and all. After all, we halve the domain/hosting fees, but she uses like 400MB of bandwidth in comparison to my 120GB, so I can totally understand her “death glare”.
Again, it’s my pleasure to be able to contribute with my scans :) Take your time with the scanlations, for we all know those can demand quite a lot of effort. But I won’t deny I’m so looking forward to seeing the scanlations; thanks to my AMAZING Japanese skills, I can understand like, what?, like the title and 10% of the text in any doujinshi. And that also includes the, err, “short phrases”, gasps, moans, and similars…
Thanks, and bye!
[Cmnt]
Ok don’t need to worry! *yay, thanks for being so nice to us!*
Ok then when I do have it, I mean the doujinshis I will give you the download links as soon as I do have it ^^ trough it would be amazing scans *kicks*
As for the doujinshis and the credits I do think I did replied it in the other reply!
OWO that is an amazing difference! I don’t have any site and anything…also I did notice that you are from Spain??? because I’m from Portugal xD
AHHH it’s like mine…I mean if I read and make it I may understand…but I take HOURS to complete a sentence and if a bubble have to much text I’m like…”What did he said? I didn’t get half T^T” So yes…<.<
Hope everything is ok!
xD, take care
[Cmnt]
Sorry for getting back to you a bit late. It seems like one of my computer’s harddisks wants to die on me and I’m just updating this page and replying to messages just now. I was almost sure the harddisk had gone totally kaputt, though, and that my 27GB worth of DJ scans was gone forever! (That’s the collection I’ve been collecting for the past few years – yep, I think internet is for dowloading goodies… ok, and for some
pornoyaoi, too).Oh, that’s a surprise! I didn’t know you were from Portugal. I’m from Peru, actually, and I must add I can barely understand some written Portuguese, even if people swear it’s easy to pick up this language if you know Spanish already. Well, not easy for me, that’s true! My sister can manage some Portuguese because many of her coworkers were Brazilian, though I don’t know whether the Portuguese spoken in Brazil differs from, well, the Portuguese from Portugal :) (yay for redundant redundancy!) In Peru, we speak Castilian, which is a bit different from Spanish, but mostly in the accent and the pronunciation of certain sounds.
I’m off to reply your other comment now!
[Cmnt]
Now it’s official: I’m a big fail orz.
I was checking the credits page you include with your scanlations, and JUST NOW I noticed you explicitly ask not to reshare without your permission. I’m so sorry about that!
I’m taking down my post with the Kanako Nagi/seil DJs. I can’t demand other people not to do that or this, if I can’t do the same with their requests, can I? Again, I’m very sorry! I should be more careful and practice my reading comprehension from now on (I was sure the credits page read “not to reshare without the credits” only).
[Cmnt]
No you aren’t!
It’s ok you don’t need to remove it now!
You did give us credits as well to arigatomina as well so I’m glad that you did!
And don’t need to worry!
It’s ok!
Also if you want to share more it’s ok! All you need to do is write that the permission was given by me, HokaHoka. Or else other staff member that may come here will report it to me! <.<
*goes comment the other post!*
[Cmnt]
Ah, thank you very much!
I’ll be updating the entry with the proper information in a moment. I’d like to thank you again for both your permission and your hard work; I really, really like Nagi Kanako’s doujinshi and Family Walker has to be my favorite DJ by this author. I was glad to see the whole series has been scanlated, I felt I had to share my joy with the world, and thus the post!
I must be more careful, though. I still don’t know how I could miss your credits page; this only proves I fail big time at reading comprehension. ORZ!
Thanks again for everything!
[Cmnt]
Hey sorry to bother you :) I’m just going around asking everyone about what scanner they use. I just recently bought a epson v30 to scan manga tanks but the scans come out really bad. Just curious if you had a epson and can give me some setting tips ^^
if not then I just want to know what you have since I’m planning to buy another new scanner. I’ve heard canon are better >_<
thanks ^^
[Cmnt]
Sorry for the late reply! And it’s not a bother at all. I’m actually glad you’ve asked me, even if I can hardly seem to know how my scanner works.
I do have an Epson scanner/printer. It’s an Epson TX125; at around $40, it’s pretty much the cheapest you can get in the market over here, but it works really well for us. I had to tweak with the settings for a while until I managed to get proper scans. And I must say I barely understand how to use it, but I hope the little I can provide may be of some help to you.
…First of all, I must also add all my scanner’s settings are in Spanish because of my computer’s default language. Anyway, I took some screencaps so that you could see what the settings look like. According to the program info, I have Epson Scan 3.7.7 as the installed software for the scanner (Screenshot #1). These are my default settings for the scanner (Screenshot #2). I just use the “Easy Mode”; for color images, I use the setting for “Photography”, in color (of course), and scan at 300dpi (although some recommend higher output resolutions for color images, something in the 600dpi range or so).
After I hit the “Pre-visualization” button, the Output Size (called “tamaño destino” in Spanish, see Screenshot #3) is set to “original” automatically. I found the scanner kept on cropping the images if I left the settings in “original” for this option, so instead I set it to a fixed size in pixels (Screenshot #4). Since I always resize my scans to 1000px wide (and around 1500px high) after editing them, I set the output size to 2000x2700px. Also, I always tick the option called “destramado” in Spanish… which unfortunately I don’t know how it’s called in English. It’s the one the arrow is pointing to, the first in the left row (Screenshot #5). If you deselect that option, color images tend to be rendered with sort of a grid on them, just like this one scan. I leave all other options unselected.
Black & White images kept on giving me trouble to scan, too, so I ended up using those very same settings – and changed only the “document/file type” option from “Photography” to “Newspaper” (Screenshot #6). The one change is that instead of “image type: color”, we have now “image type: grayscale” (Screenshot #7). The downside to using this option is that scans are rendered in a lighter gray tone, so manga or doujinshi with light screentones will lose detail.
And that’d be pretty much all, even if I doubt any of my tips will be helpful like, at all :)
[Cmnt]
thank you sooo much! I actually use the same settings as you do!
Here is my scans and settings:

Sadly I think manga and doujinshi are just two different species such that the paper quality just sucks for mangas and hence the mad scans –;;
[Cmnt]
Sorry for the late reply!
Actually, the scans you’re getting for your mangas are just the quality every scanner is more likely to get :) You’re right, the paper quality is different, and then there’s the fact that since they’re black-and-white, the color tone used will rendered the scans with such a gray toned texture. The trick, then, is in the editing.
Your scans actually look better than many of my scans. Really! I can’t get my doujinshi flat enough on the scanner to reach the areas near to the binding, for instance. Well, some years ago, when I began scanning my first DJs, I was recommended a guide to manga editing, and I’ve been following those tips since then. It’s The Idiot’s Guide To Editing Manga, but don’t be fooled by the title :P, since it’s actually quite a comprehensive guide. It’s written for a editing program such as Photoshop, but maybe the general settings and tips can be applicable to other programs, too? Anyway, I can’t recommend that guide enough. You’ll see how some basic editing can make a whole difference when it comes to manga scans.
[Cmnt]
Hurray~ another C-E-Z doujinshi ><
[Cmnt]
Ooooooh~ yes. It’s such a good thing that Choutano C-E-Z is a very active doujinshika circle and keeps on releasing new ones regularly. The downside is, they do seem to publish new ones faster than my wallet can refill…
[Cmnt]
I don’t used the reply button since it was getting smaller and so >.:<!!
—-
Don't need to worry about the doujinshis! I do understand your reason and I don't mind at all xD
As for the credits some people do that purposely, but I know you didn't made it because you wanted so that was the main reason I did allowed you post it again! And since this time I will know you will post the credits and everything I don't mind at all as well goes for arigatomina!
So do your best ^^
Have a nice day and take care!
[Cmnt]
No prob :) Unlike Livejournal, which screens comments once they reach a certain number, threaded comments in WordPress get indented with every new message posted, so after a while they become impossible to read (or to write). I suppose I could just disable the indenting option for the comments, but that way it’d be rather hard to tell new replies from old messages.
Thanks again for your permission to repost the DJs. I’ve already put up the entry again and added the proper credits. Bye, and take care!
[Cmnt]
Thanks so much for the scan ^_^ Bengal is my favorite doujin circle. Just really love the drawing.*^-^*
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome. I also like Bengal’s drawing style – especially their Masamune, whom they seem to like depicting as a blond/silver-haired man for some reason (a bit a la Ranse Ranbu, maybe?)
I know it sounds like a contradiction, but in actuality I’m not a fan of the MasaYuki pairing… unless it’s a DJ by Bengal, of course! I love their depiction of Yuki as a more focused, independent man – without being OOC.
[Cmnt]
Aw…thank you so much for Dynamite sensational weekend 31 and Ouja no kegare 4 :D I appreciate all of your hardwork on scanning those doujinshis to us who can’t actually afford to buy it >< thank you…
[Cmnt]
Thank you very much for your comment! And you’re welcome.
Scanning these doujinshi is my way to thank all other people who also upload their DJ collection to the net.
I can’t help be such a leecher. And I love getting comments such as yours; it’s good for the ego, you know? :)[Cmnt]
Thank you so much for all your doujinshis/books/CDs, I LOVE Sengoku Basara! Especially DateSana and SaYuki… I could not believe my luck when I stumbled across your site… it’s amazing!!! And it’s all Japanese RAWs!
PS. Just thought I’d chip in about ‘seiki’ or ‘shouki’ for 正気… ‘Shouki’ would be the appropriate reading, personally, I had never heard of it being read ‘seiki’. I would use the reading ‘seiki’ for 生気 or 精気. Sorry if I’m not being really clear here…
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome!
By the way, I think you might be the first person who’s actually happier to see Japanese RAWs rather than scanlations/fansubs :)
Thanks for the clarification! Yep, even my small Random House dictionary gives me the reading of 正気 as “shouki”, but I was in doubt because of the entry at Jisho. In the end, and seeing that all expressions and sentences I found with said word also rendered the kanjis as “shouki”, I decided to go with it.
Eh, I really need to study Japanese like, now.
[Cmnt]
It’s always best to be able to read things in it’s original context. I guess it helps that I can read Japanese… it’s a great advantage!
I would be more than happy to help, when you’re unsure of a certain reading or something.
[Cmnt]
Yes, I also think that. Guess that’s one of the reasons for which I began studying English in the first place (but the main reason is, of course, that I love this language). It’s true that we can’t always read things in the original language they were written in, though; there’s the example of this teacher of mine, who said reading Dostoievski in Russian was a priceless experience… as long as you actually understood Russian, that’s it.
Thanks for the offering. But I’m afraid that, if I were to ask you whenever I’m unsure of a reading, then I’d be asking you all the time. You’ll see, I never really studied Japanese in any formal way, but I still know a thing or two because, well, you can’t be in this hobby without learning a thing or two.
[Cmnt]
That’s all good, good luck with studying Japanese if you do so!
And thanks again for all your sharing!
[Cmnt]
Lol..thanks for sharing another one of your doujinshis :D
Btw, I want to ask, do you know any other japanese-english web based dictionary other then Jisho.org? ><
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome.
Well, the other Japanese dictionary online I use is this one at J-Talk, but it doesn’t seem to be as complete and useful as Jisho.org. Sorry I can’t be of much help in here.
[Cmnt]
Oh it’s okay though :D thx for sharing anyway xD
[Cmnt]
Thankyou very much! I really love Motochika x Motonari Doujinshi and Mongo / Choutano C-E-Z’s works!!
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome! Choutano C-E-Z is also one of my favorite circles.
[Cmnt]
Wow O_O this is just me..but you’re fast on updating the ChikaNari section o_o anyway~ I’ll gonna grab Mutsugoro~ thx
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome :)
Ah yes, it does seem the ChikaNari section is growing steadily. At this rate, I know nobody will ever believe that I’m, in fact, not that overly fond of that pairing. Just the same way I don’t really like the MasaYuki pairing – UNLESS it’s Choutano C-E-Z drawing the first, and bengal, the second. Those are the two circles whose works I tend to buy almost on the spot.
[Cmnt]
(Crap, PC broke down on me before I had a chance to respond *shakes head*)
Thanks for the requested scans, luv. Mongo / Choutano C-E-Z’s works are always wonderful.
[Cmnt]
Don’t worry. As every person who’s ever owned a computer knows, PCs and the such just tend to die on us when we’re, precisely, using them to do something of medium/high importance. I replaced mine a couple of weeks ago, for instance (well, my former PC was already 7 years old)…
You’re so right about Choutano C-E-Z. I love every one of their stories… even though I think their AU series is by far my favorite.
[Cmnt]
“Technology works wonders when it functions smoothly” said my lecturer once. LOL. And so we, like many people I believe, continue to maintain our love-hate relationship with PCs (or laptops or mobile phones or tablets, whatever).
I look forward to more Choutano C-E-Z. Keep up with those great scans.
[Cmnt]
And your lecturer was so right. Technology seems to serve two purposes: either it makes our lives easier and more comfortable, or it reminds us of the fact that humanity managed to persist for several thousands of years without computers, cellphones, next-generation videogame consoles… and it was happy, mind you. Our problem with technology, I think, it’s like the relationship we have with, say, physics laws or health: we’re so happy and ok as long as we don’t know much about them. But once you’ve come into contact with them, you can’t do without them (“scientists say that our sun will collapse and die in several million years! Aren’t you worried about it?”, or “yeah, I know you’ve been eating hamburgers all your life and really love them, but don’t you know all that fat will kill you?”). In my case, I suppose my life might have been different had I never learned how to use a computer, surf the net or shop online… but as things turned out, I realize I simply can’t imagine my current life without any of those. Love-hate relationship indeed.
Again, thanks for your comment! Comments such as yours as great for the ego, er, I mean, encouragement.
[Cmnt]
Grabbing fearless~ thx for sharing~
[Cmnt]
Picking up the latest Choutano C-E-Z’s scans. Thanks for sharing and the hard-work :)
(your site’s giving me the urge to go Spanish. lol)
[Cmnt]
Thanks for your comment!
Well, you know, Spanish is officially now the second language with the most native speakers in the world (the first being Mandarin Chinese, of course). So, why not learning some Spanish? :) It might be the language of the new, err, era!
[Cmnt]
Thank you very much!! \(O o O)/
[Cmnt]
Thanks! And that’s a pretty funny emoticon, btw! I should learn how to get them. The only ones I know are those that begin with X and end with another consonant, or a parenthesis.
[Cmnt]
Grabbing 1 or 8 :)) thanks for uploading this is the best gift I could get after I broke my PC lol =))
[Cmnt]
Sorry for the late reply!
You’re welcome! And I’m so sorry to hear about your PC. Technology tends to fails us just as you need them the most – or, similarly, if your harddisk fails, it’ll always be the one with the most files and data on it…
[Cmnt]
Hello~
Could you please send me the original RAW scans of Dynamite Sensational Weekend #1 for scanlation?
I feel sorry about this presiming question.囧!!
I like your site, and thanks for your sharing very much.>_<ˇˇ
Actually,I scan and share some dj of Sengoku BASARA as well.
And there are some that are not on the list.
If you do not mind,as a fandom,I do want a exchange with you.
(But most of them are iemitsu.)
It would be my pleasure if you will to reply.
(well…..and forgive my poor English.)
[Cmnt]
Sure! Right now I’m uploading the file with the RAW scans to my server. Once it’s done, I’ll send the download link to your email. It’s no problem at all; it’s always good to see more Senbasa scanlations out there. Even if there are in languages I don’t really understand but, hey! I don’t know much Japanese to begin with :)
[Cmnt]
Hi!!
I hope this is not such a sudden appearance, but I’ve only found your site recently! And I must say, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HARD WORK! I’ve only scanlated a few books of my own….and that in itself took such painstaking care and dedication as not to damage the originals! And your website is just amazing! There are so many high-quality raws of Sengoku Basara~! I thought to myself ‘Aahh..so this is what it feels like for a soul to suddenly found its way to Heaven’s gate!’ XDD
I was wondering…concerning the doujinshis done by Mongo-sensei / Choutano C-E-Z — how did you order them? After reading through a few I just couldn’t help myself – I really want to order them! The stories are amazing and they are just too beautiful! Right now I’m living in the UK….so yeah. And I must confess that I’ve never order doujinshis straight off the mangaka before since I’ve always asked my friends to buy them for me when they’re going over there!!
(And I’m also looking at Someya-sensei / Propellershiki’s work as well….ahh….my money and I are just not meant to be……….)
Thank you for your hard work again! And today’s update has been amazing!! :DD
[Cmnt]
Right, that was a worthless question, because I have found Madarake………..
I’m kinda having a bittersweet moment with myself……..
I’m so happy….but……
SHOOT. MY MONEY.
(*sob*)
Anyways, I still wanna thank you for all your efforts — they are very much appreaciated! :)
[Cmnt]
Thanks for your comment! It’s a pleasure to be able to contribute with the fandom; in fact, I began scanning my doujinshi because of people like you, who shared their DJs in the net out of sheer kindness. There was my collection, my scanner and my lousy editing skills (still can’t use properly Photoshop, orz), so I told myself, why don’t I do the same? Well, I’ve destroyed a few doujinshi since then (my Revaival copies literally fell apart after I scanned them), but it was definitely worth it.
…Ah, I was about to write a looooooong comment explaining about Mandarake :) Anyway, I can’t recommend it enough: it updates frequently and their prices are very reasonable (their shipping fees too). They update so frequently that, in fact, you’ll need to check the site on a daily basis to see how fast new books are added, and how even faster they’re gone. During May, for instance, they stocked like 10 Choutano C-E-Z titles I don’t have (yet!) in my collection, and practically all of them were gone within 24 hours. Or less! If I may, I’d like to point out a couple of things you have to take into consideration when shopping from Mandarake: yes, the first one would that you must be prepared to see how they stocked doujinshi faster than your wallet can refill :) Beside that, they ship via SAL only if you pay with a credit card (SAL stands for standard shipping; affordable enough and at least to my country, Peru, very reliable as well: Mandarake orders arrive the fastest out of all the stores I buy from that are located in Japan); if you’re using Paypal, they ship via EMS only. But all in all, their EMS fees aren’t that high either.
Again, thanks for your comment!
[Cmnt]
Thanks for your comment!! To be honest, it’s not so much of their shipping methods and such, IT’S MY WALLET. Ahahahaha~ Right now they have 16 titles of Choutano C-E-Z available….or not? I think they’re out of stock! Do they keep restocking these? Because if they do, I’m going to wait until my financial status skips up a few notches!! XDD
(I use credit cards~ Paypal don’t sit so well with me for some reason…yeah well, I’m just pretty paranoid with my money XDD”)
I checked out Choutano C-E-Z’s site as well! And it seems like they’re publishing a new anthology with most of their featured work as a collection book! Got kinda excited about that, but then, ah well, I’ll wait a couple of months just to get an amount of money together and ORDER. Gosh, I think this might be the death of me…BUT IT’LL BE A BEAUTIFUL DEATH. SO IT DOESN’T MATTER.
“There was my collection, my scanner and my lousy editing skills”
<< Don't be absurd!! Your raws are far cleaner than most I've laid my eyes on! And of amazing resolution!! Have pride in your work, because you have every rights to be! Scanning and editing are tough cookies — but you;ve done so well! Be proud!! :DDD
[b]Revaival[/b]…gosh, that was one of the first Basara doujinshi I've laid my hands on via a scanlation site….and really, I got so hooked!! I think I've only read up to the 5th though….kinda hoping the author doesn't just drop out along the way!
[Cmnt]
Ah yes, I think I understand what you’re saying. As a doujinshi collector, there are times when you have to decide between getting that new batch of DJs by your favorite circle, or eating a meal a day for the next three weeks.
Ok, maybe not to those extremes ;) but close enough. In my case, I’m a bit picky about shipping methods because of our fabulous! amazing! whoa! national postal service. I hope the SB3 manga anthology and the Senbasa Revoltech figurines I’m still owed by the postal office (after the latest workers’ strike) do make it safe and sound to my hands…
Ok, about Mandarake… If a doujinshi appears in their site, that means it’s mostly sure they have it in stock. Mostly sure, because you’ll see -in each item’s description- that some of them are marked “storefront item”, meaning those are DJs they have in their physical stores, hence they can be out-of-stock by the time they go to retrieve them. Also, and even though their system is automated and reliable as well, there’s always the possibility someone else ordered the same doujinshi and it’s gone out-of-stock by the time they process your order… However, in all the time I’ve been buying from them, it’s been only once that one of the DJ in my order was in fact out of stock. So I’d say that, if you’re fast enough to place an order (as soon as you see the DJ!), then it’s more than likely you’ll get it. BTW, you can also choose an option to cancel your whole order if one of the items on it are out-of-stock.
Unfortunately, Choutano C-E-Z hasn’t updated their “Doujinshi List” section in their webpage for ages now. I’ve counted like 20 titles that were stocked by Mandarake at some point, that the circle hasn’t even listed in their site. Keeping an eye on their blog -also found at their site- is a more reliable and up-to-date way to learn about their new releases, since they usually post an entry with a preview of the DJs (and there’s their Pixiv account as well, now that I think of it.) And truth be told, I haven’t counted how many Choutano C-E-Z DJs they have at Mandarake at the moment :) But if I may make yet another suggestion… inputting the artist or circle’s name in Japanese in their “search” engine usually gives you more results. In the case of Choutano C-E-Z, typing “C-E-Z” only is the best way, since Mandarake lists their works under at least three different Romaji spellings and in Japanese as well.
It seems Mandarake has all four Choutano C-E-Z compilations I know of in stock at the moment :) About restocking: well, I suppose it depends on the artist and the availability of their works, but in the case of Choutano C-E-Z, I’ve seen most of their DJs rectocked over time. The ones that I haven’t seen, well, were the ones that were in stock yesterday (4 titles I hadn’t heard of, nor I’d seen in their site or Pixiv account), and a couple more of their AU series.
Ha, ha… I just went and placed another order with Mandarke like, uh, fifteen minutes ago. I haven’t been buying that many DJs for the past months because I have another funds-consuming hobby (ball-jointed dolls, commonly called BJDs), but as things turned out, I found myself with some extra cash to burn and… that was that Choutano C-E-Z doujinshi I’d been eyeing for two months now… but the bulk of this order is comprised of those incredibly cute, adorable little gashapons, the One Coin Grande figurines. Couldn’t resist! Oh yeah, buying online will be my death as well. But at least I’ll die a happy collector. So full of pretty little things you don’t really need to live, but that you find you can’t live without. Sort of.
Thanks for your words! It’s really encouraging to hear my scans are good enough. But in the day, I had no idea what “dpi” stood for, or even how to set up a scanner… not that I really understand all those setting options and figures in my scanner now, but at least my scans look a lot better than the first ones I edited. So you won’t want to see what those “first scans” were like… There’s a reason for which I took them down, ahem. Again, thanks for your praising! Reading comments such as yours always manage to
boost my ego, err, encourage me.I’ve also looking forward to seeing the sixth Revaival volume scanlated soon! If only because of Hisahide Matsunaga (in his “Man, I was quite a looker in my younger days” incarnation!), whom I happen to like a lot (just as much as the majority of the fandom seems to hate him, I think? I haven’t met yet another Senbasa fan who will tell me they also like Hisahide…) The circle has been releasing the volumes in this series in a regular basis, even if as for lately they’ve been taking more time between each issue, but I’m trusting they won’t drop it. Not after we’ve got some cameos of SB3 characters in the sixth volumes… I just hope they’ll be wrapping up the story sometime soon.
[Cmnt]
Hmmm…maybe not to those extremes, but the boundary is thin, and we crazy people doujinshi collectors could cross them at any time – s’almost on a whim! It’s insane but quite true on my case…I’m a compulsive buyer, but also an incredibly picky one at that – so thank goodness my hard-earned cash hasn’t all been burnt off just yet…
And good luck with the shippings! I’m from Thailand, but I spend most of the time in the UK due to my studies — and to be honest with you, I will rather DIE than have them posted by the Thai postal services. Those folks can go die in a hole for all I care….after what they’ve done to my shipment of doujinshi…..grrr…. (THEY LOST THEM. THOSE INCOMPETENT FOOLS LOST MY DOUJINSHIS. DIE. SCUM. DIE NOW.)
Right…time to calm down…calmmm~
Thank you for explaining to me the workings of mandarake! And yeah, I’ve figured out the workings of their search engine after a few tries :P! I’m now torn between placing the order now (since all of them seems to be available on storefront) and waiting a few months down the road….. Any suggestions? I’m not in that much of a hurry, but I will also be very peeved if the they ran out and don’t restock them….
As for the scannings, technicalities don’t count! Satisfying end results are good enough! For all the times I’ve been scanlating….it’s not like I knew much of the fancy technical terms either! I just play and learn the tricks as I go along (like the puppy that Yukimura is) — and as long as you’re happy with the end results but always strive to get better at it, you’ll always end up with works of beauty!! :DD
Hisahide Matsunaga? I wouldn’t say I’m crazy for him (because my heart belongs to Chosokabe and Chosokabe only, ahhhhh ♥ ♥) but I do think he’s awesome! I do like him!! There, you’ve met another fan of Basara who also like Matsunaga-dono! Heyyyyy–!!
To be honest, I didn’t really have a favourite pairing…because all of that depends on the mangaka! I really judge things based on the storylines and such…(go ahead and say I’m fickle!! I’ve accpeted it!! XDD) And that also means I don’t really watch the anime and go ‘Kyaa~ They’re totally getting it on!’ — not unless they’re literally groping/kissing each other. But that’s Yaoi OVAs — and OVAs don’t need imagination! XDD At any rate, despite all that, Mongo-sensei is really steering me towards Chosokabe/Mouri!! The first one I’ve ever read by her was ‘Milk’…and it kinda made me melt and die in a puddle of innards and goo. And have I mention Kadoka-sensei? She’s churned out many ‘hardcore’ *ahem* doujinshis of these two…. And I rally got hooked!
(If you haven’t had the chance to read it, join the ‘Yes Rhade’ scanlation on livejournal! I think they have all of her works scanlated, pretty much!)
And, might I add, the lengths of our comments are bordering insanity. Not that I mind at all! Quite the contrary, infact!
Thanks for replying so quickly–! :DD
[Cmnt]
Sorry for the late reply!
Ah, I’m sorry to hear about the mail losing your doujinshi order -yeah, like in “happily denying to know what happened to your mysteriously vanishing package”; I think I know the type-. I’m hoping it wasn’t a big order or anything! I can’t say I find it funny that the mail has failed to deliver several of my orders comprising of books, but thanks goodness they’ve never lost any of my doujinshi packages.
I’m laaaaaaate for this reply, but if it still counts *winks*… I’m positive that most, if not all, Choutano C-E-Z doujinshi Mandarake has at the moment has been restocked over the few past months. So if you aren’t in a hurry, I’d recommend to wait some more weeks before placing an order. Of course, we can’t have the certainty all of the DJs you might want at the moment will be available in some weeks time, but as I wrote… I’ve seen Mandarake restocking most Choutano C-E-Z’s titles, or at least the ones they have in-stock right now. I might be awfully late to tell you this as well, but there’s something else I’d like to add: items from different stores are shipped in different orders as well, each one with a separate shipping fee (and a handling fee of 500 yens if your order total amounts less than 5000 yens). That’s why I usually prefer ordering items from the same store… Unfortunately (or maybe not? My wallet is voting “no”, at least), many of the items I’ve been eyeing as for lately have been available in different stores. I’m stingy, you’ll see :) so most of the time I settle for buying just the items I do want rather than paying for separate orders.
Hey! Another fan who likes Hisahide! Whoa! If you don’t mind, I’ll be taking a screencap of your comment so I can show it as proof next time I’m discussing Hisahide and his apparent lack of love in the fandom. Just kidding. But I’ll mention I have, at last, met another Senbasa fan who likes Hisahide. That’d make it two for the count. Actually, I’m sure Hisahide is very popular among players because he’s -as you’ve put it- that awesome; yeah, he’s cool even if he’s kicking your sorry ass in the game, or delivering those nietzschean speeches in the anime. Uh, guess I must clarify I’ve watched the second anime series only; I think he has a larger and more ass-kicking role in the first series. I’d watch said series only for him… just as I watched the second series for Hanbei mostly.
And I must also admit Mongo makes me love the Motochika/Motonari pairing. Ah, that much must be obvious just by looking at my collection, but the truth is, I’m not a fan of the ChikaNari couple (not after SB3). I rather like Chika paired up with Ieyasu, and Nari being just himself (or by himself), but as a pairing… Nah. Especially given the endearing, close-knitted and so emotional interaction they’ve always had in the game canon, ie. they hate each others’ guts to death. I’m still wondering why this pairing can be this popular, given the canon facts… So I won’t say you’re fickle, no :) Anyway, getting back to Choutano C-E-Z, and in spite of the fact that I like all of their works, my favorites are those taking place in their AU series. Milk was among the first I also read from this circle, but since it was a Chinese scanlation, I understood it even less than the average doujinshi, ahem… In my latest purchase from Mandarake I’ve ordered Salt, and now I’m wondering if there’s any cooking pattern in the titling I’m missing, or something…
Thanks for recommending the yes_rhade group! I hadn’t paid them a visit in quite some time and now I’m seeing they’ve scanlated more Kazuma Kodaka’s DJs.
Leechingerr, downloading them now! But to tell you the truth, even if I find Kodaka’s ChikaNari stories interesting to read (interesting and, uh, very NC-17 as well, I guess, ahem), I feel her depiction of Motonari a bit off…Ha hah, it should be also obvious by now that I like writing A LOT. Sorry, I quite never learned the fine art of the concise communication exchange. But of course, I never mind long messages! I’m always happy to be able to talk with (err, write to, rather?) other fans. Or just other people in general :) By the way: I reply to messages posted in my blog in the same thread so that WordPress sends a notification to the original commenter’s email but, please, feel free to start a new comment thread anytime. Unlike, let’s say, Livejournal.com, threaded comments in WordPress tend to run out of space to keep on writing after a few messages.
And thanks for your comment about my scans! I’m so heeding your words: we should always try to strive to get better. But I have to say I learned about the crop tool in Photoshop like, three doujinshis ago. Guess I’m a very slow learner…

From my heart: Thank you for the MitsuYoshi doujinshi, you don’t know how happy i’m now <3333
Just love that pairing fgggggggggg
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome!
YoshiMitsu (or the other way round) has to be my SB3 OTP, but it’s being amazingly hard for me to find good doujinshi centered on the pairing… Still looking for more, though.
[Cmnt]
(There, a new thread!!)
No problem!!
Nah, it’s alright! Thankfully it was an internal order — so I just had the Postal service pay me compensation money and re-ordered! At any rate, it /is/ annoying to have those things happen to you! And thanks again for the advice!! At this rate I’ll be waiting a few more weeks….then BOOM! Mandarake shall feel my vengeance!! *grins like a maniac* (But it is to their benefit, so I doubt they’d complain!) I’ve been looking through them recently, and most of Choutano C.E.Z’s work are stocked in Ikebukuro — with a few missing ones available in Nagoya’s store…two different stores is alright for me, but I’m still waiting, so we shall see!
(Actually, when I say vengeance, that really didn’t make sense. But oh well, I think it’s my wallet that’ll be crying silently in a corner by the end of all this….haa~)
Please screencap it! We need to spread the love!! Hisahide is probably a bit too philosophical for most fans — shounen and shounen-ai alike! But I like his self-contradictory nature (if you can put it as that) — he embraces his worldly desires and delights in his selfishness in his own unique way and I see no problem with that! If anything, such an interesting character deserves more attention! (And two is a good startin’ point – do not fear!)
To be honest, he might seem a little out of place in SenBasara, but I do think he’s the one with the most ‘human-like’ character in the whole anime. Not sayin’ that others are monsters or anything! But to me, each one of Basara’s character is…a trait, a personality, taken up and made more eccentric. Take Yukimura for example, to me he’s ‘loyalty’ — all of his actions and goals are driven almost purely by that characteristic and nothing else. (Bless, I do love him <3) While this wouldn't really work in the real world, Hisahide's character seems to be more believable and his causes more complicated, unlike, say, Nobunaga's "I'm the Demon King and therefore I kill. Period." kind.
Pointless rambling. Whoops. Shall shut up now!
And SB1 is awesome!! Watch it!! (*COUGH!Icanevengiveyouthetorrentforthecompleteseriesifyou'dlike!COUGH*)
I must admit…the first time I watched SenBasara, I really fell in love with Masamune's attitude ("I don't care what you think – s'my horse. And these exhaust pipes are freakin' cool.") and the because-I-adore-you-I-will-beat-you-in-to-a-bloody-pulp relationship between "OYAKATA-SAMAAA!!!" and "YUKIMURAAA!!!" XDDD!!
Really, Takeda-ossan (as Masamune has always gracefully put it) is freakin' awesome beyond words! I want a dad like him!
(Although…nah, I do treasure my brain cells. Yukimura probably didn't know he had any pre-existed – who knows when the hell did Oyakata-sama started beatin' him up.)
ChikaNori and their love-hate relationship, eh? Well, I think it IS that very element that makes the fan ship them so much! For instance, there will always be UST between the two, if they are indeed engaged in a relationship of such fashion, and then angst will ensue! It's great! I don't think I've said it well, but girls are complicated creatures. So much so that we don't even understand ourselves sometimes.
Yes…well, Kadoka-sensei and her /hardcore/-ness. *ahem* Her stories do make me laugh, and I leave it at that! *winks* Although one must admit that some of them are almost into the boundaries of PWP smut – I enjoy her versions of the two, just because! But yeah, if you're looking for something more….well, one must then look somewhere else!
(And it's fine to leech….we all do that…..sometimes*grins sheepishly*)
(Oh!! And I haven't mentioned MICROMACRO!! I feel like I've inadequately expressed my love for the Kojurou/Masamune pairing!!)
As you can see, I am also handicapped in the department of non-waffling-save-the-world-use-less-words! This is why I can never use twitter successfully.
(Slow learners still learns!! We all still have ways to go yet!! Keep your chins up!!)
P.s. What are the codes for the font styles? I feel the need to fashion my replies!! XDD
P.s.2 Re-watching SB1 again….Masamune-samaaaaa–!! *squeals silently* And really, Kenshin ALWAYS crack me up!! XDDD ("My beautiful blade…your work at Nagashino is magnificent…" *rose-petals*) Kenshin and the Kasuga…even if they're a BG couple, I really couldn't help but feel like I'm watching a GL!! XDD (And Kasuga's orgasmic screams…ahahaha XDD"")
[Cmnt]
Sorry for the late reply (again)! I usually spend most of the weekend in front of the computer (and that’s why I update this page on Sundays or Mondays), but on weekdays I don’t have that much free time to surf the net. Sorry if it takes longer to get back to you!
Mandarake shipped my latest order today (I just got the notification mail) so, yeah, I think I understand what you mean when you say vengeance. Let’s call it a “vengeance in advance”, then :) Oh, I just noticed they stocked a not-so-new AU doujinshi by Choutano C-E-Z (it’s one of the first they released in said series, I think; it’s compiled in their Irohahoniheto book, if I’m spelling the title right), so I don’t think they’ll be going out-of-stock of the rest of this circle’s works by the time you place your order. It’s a good thing you don’t mind ordering from different stores; in my case, I’d rather wait until all or at least most of the items I want are available from the same store. And that’s why I’ve missed on lots of DJ I did want, since they were gone before I could order them… Ahem.
Speaking of Mandarake orders and Hisahide, I ordered the One Coin Figurine of our beloved nietzschean thinker. Well, I like to think of him as “nietzchean-like”. Once it arrives, I’ll be placing the little chibified figurine on my desk, take a picture of it, screencap your comment, and then I’ll proceed to show those images to every Senbasa fan who tells me they don’t like Hisahide. Just to prove them there are fans of the man! Between the two of us, let me tell you I’ve always liked the Hisahide/Kotarou pairing (from long before the anime even aired, in fact), and after watching the second series, I’m not feeling guilty anymore about entertaining the Hisahide/Kojuurou pairing. Even if I think such pairing (or any pairing with Hisahide on it) cracks up lots of people…
I love how you’ve described Hisahide and why you like him so much. You know, I’d love to be able to express myself so clearly when I talk about fandom, or when I talk in general. I usually write 8,000+ word entries in my blog about Senbasa at large and my favorite characters/pairings in particular, only to reach the end of the post and realize I haven’t made a point yet. Or to have a kind reader ask me, yes, but… do you like them or not? I can’t make it out from your entry. Anyway! I agree with you 100% when you say Hisahide is the more human of the cast. I should say, real, if I were to talk about characterization. I’ve always thought Senbasa and its characters are built on archtypes -rather than mere stereotypes-, hence every character is modeled after a particular traits, or traits. You’ve got the cool guy who speaks in Engrish, the noisy but loyal and endearing boy who’s his rival, the congenial pirate (actually, Motochika is more of a yakuza for me) who acts as an older brother for the rest of the cast, the cold-blooded strategist, and so on… In general, characters from Senbasa seem to be rather on one side (the “good”, cool guys) or the other (the “bad”, villanous guys), hence Hisahide differentiates from the rest because he stands… in more neutral ground. His ground, actually; I like the fact that he doesn’t go falsely philosophical or moral on issues at hand, but is rather straightforward and honest about his motives. For instance, you have Masamune in earlier games: he wanted to put an end to the chaos reigning in the country, but isn’t he contributing to said chaos with his fighting? Especially because he enjoys fighting (not killing or anything, just the thrill of the battle). Or Motonari, who’s a contradiction on himself on the games (in the anime he’s given so little screentime, well): everything he does is, according to himself, for the sake of his clan, but we never see any other blood relative of his, and most of his actions involve getting his soldiers killed. So what or whom he’s fighting for?
Oh, I’ll watch the first anime series, that’s for sure, but it won’t be any time soon I’m afraid. You’ll see, you’ve mentioned Nobunaga, and he’s currently the main reason I don’t want to watch said series. He’s the one character from Senbasa I never liked; actually, I’m totally fed up with CAPCOM for bringing him back again and again (he’s one of the only four characters in the whole saga that’s been playable in every Senbasa game released, the others being Masa, Yuki and Honda), and giving him even less character and story development each time. I find him incredibly boring. I mean, he’s evil because… he’s evil! And he does evil things because, I don’t know, he’s evil? And that’s it? In previous Senbasa games I could bear with him because there was his small, dysfunctional family (which was the most normal and believable about him), but after they were killed in the canon continuity, I couldn’t find a single appealing feature or trait about him. Now, if they tell me Nobunaga appears in the movie The Last Party… URGH!
As I wrote earlier, I pretty much watched the second series because of Hanbei, who’s up there (after Masa and Mitsunari) among my top favorite chars from Senbasa. Villains, or otherwise antagonists, are always of special interest for me, since in most cases they tend to demand more development and better characterization than the “heroes”. That’s one of the reasons I love Mitsunari so much… In SB3 I mean, not that horrible game called Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes in which CAPCOM not only changed the plotline, but also several characters’ personalities to the point they bear no resemblance to the originals. URGH! (again) That said, and getting back to the anime, I was very disappointed to the poor characterization Hideyoshi has in the anime (they turned him into your most stereotypical villain)… hence I’m not exactly looking forward to I’m-bad-because-I’m-bad Nobunaga in the anime.
Nobunaga isn’t all the cons I have against the anime series, though. There’s a reason I only watched the second series just recently (a good thing it was only 12 episode long; I could watch it on one weekend)… I’ve been a fan of Senbasa since SB2 was released, meaning I’ve been contributing with it being CAPCOM’s most licensed title to date, MEANING I’ve been buying the mangas, fanbooks, artbooks and other merchandise for years now :) Oh, I love this franchise, but by the time SB3 was released, I was absolutely fed up with CAPCOM repeating the same storyline again and again (not to the point of, let’s say, Street Fighter, but up to SB3 the saga didn’t have much storyline development to speak of, and almost no canon continuity); I also grew tired of practically every item of merchandise being focused on Masamune. SB2′s main character was Keiji, but Masa took central role in the official manga and the CD dramas (and the second anime series, which is based upon those manga and drama); SB3′s are Ieyasu and Mitsunari, but the official manga is titled SB3 Roar of the Dragon and the movie, The Last Party. This annoyed to me end, especially because SB3 was such a milestone in terms of plot and characterization… This is why I kicked Masamune out of my preferences and sulked over the anime for months. Yeah, like a resented fan :P It took me 10 months to be in good terms with the rest of the Senbasa-related merchandise, and watched the anime at last… And I was so happy it took me that long, let me tell you! Because I’m sure that, if I’d watched the second anime as soon as it was aired, I wouldn’t have enjoyed as much as I did. Rather, I’d have spend the whole show ranting about more Masamune! More Yukimura! And poor characterized villains!
…Hence, if I were to watch the first anime now, I’m so sure I’ll be writing 10,000+ word manifestos on how much I hate Nobunaga AND CAPCOM for creating him. Yeah, I know I would.
Yikes! Long comment! So I’d better wrap it up now. Let’s say… Well, my fangirlish side is telling me I have to write about the ChikaNari pairing and I’m so heeding it. It’s not like I need my pairings to be canon or anything (nah, I even have some crack pairings I’m not telling anyone about), but I’ve always wondered why the ChikaNari couple is that popular. If you ask me, I’d say that’s because Chika and Nari has been two of the most popular Senbasa characters since they were first introduced (and as mere NPCs! But they’ve always made it to the Top5 in every poll CAPCOM has held), and CAPCOM has always portrayed them as rivals (I’d rather say “enemies”), hence the rivalry relationship that’s so popular in any fandom. Because in their love-hate relationship, if I may state my opinion in here, there’s no “love”, just hate: in every Senbasa game (and the game canon continuity, that’s it) they’ve been mortal enemies, always facing and killing each other without much compunction about it. And if you don’t mind telling this, one of the reasons I enjoyed the second anime so much was that Chika didn’t go any two kilometers nearer Nari :) Except for the opening sequence, of course.
And before I forget: you can use HTML tags to format your messages. Are you familiar with it? In any case, if it’s about changing the font type and size, it’ll be:
Please replace the ” [ ] ” brackets with the ” <> ” symbols!
So, writing:
…will cause the text to appear as:
Put your guns on, guys!
Of course, you can change the number in size=”…” to whatever digit you want (between 1 and 10, otherwise, the letter size will be… a bit too big I’m afraid), and you can also write the color instead of using the hexadecimal code as long as it’s one of the most commonly used one (for instance, writing color=”Light Blue” will have the same effect as writing color=”#0000FF”).
Ok, I think that’d be everything for now. Sorry about the long comment (working on it, I swear)!
PS. Ah, yes. I remember fans debating whether Kenshin/Kasuga was gen, or GL instead… Err, guess I’d go with “gen”?…
[Cmnt]
Excuse me, I really like that fact that i could find lots of Sengoku Basara doujinshis……… but the thing is, I can’t read japanse! And the doujinshis I have downloaded so far are indeed in japanses and so I am wondering if all of the doujinshis uploaded on this page is japanses.
But on another note, I am greatful that you have uploaded so many doujinshis of Sengoku Basara! ><
[Cmnt]
Hello there! I’m afraid all doujinshi in this page are Japanese RAW. I’ve scanned them from my collection, and my knowledge of Japanese is good enough to transliterate the DJ titles only. In other words, I know next to nothing of Japanese.
There are some scanlation groups working on Senbasa doujinshi, so maybe you could look for those instead.
[Cmnt]
Thank you very much for your sharing!!
I find myself drowned into the couple yukisayuki~!
They are absolutely nice to be together but I can never find many doujins about this couple…
It is fantastic that your website provides several excellent doujins about them!
Thank you again!!!
I like them very much but…in fact I don’t know much about japanese…
Would you please give me the permission to share them with my friends, who are able to translate them into chinese?
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome!
Sasuke/Yuki is also one of my favorite Senbasa pairings, but just as you, I can’t seem to find good DJs centered in this couple. It seems as the MasaYuki pairing tends to monopolize the fandom’s preferences, if it’s about Yukimura…
Of course, feel free to share the scans :) I’m always happy to share these DJs with other fans who can translate or scanlate them. (My Japanese is very, very limited, to the point I usually ask my niece to orally translate or at least tell me what a DJ is about, ha ha. )
[Cmnt]
S…SORRY FOR THE SUDDEN DISAPPEARANCE!!!
I’m just….pretty much back from the dead. Had 2 weeks of intense exam period…and now it’s all done~!! Again, I’m here to thank you for sharing the love yet again!
Have yet to place any doujinshi orders….as it turns out, I’m broke to the max this year. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
At any rate — life is now pretty much back to normal. Very best of luck with all of your postages! I hope they all arrive in perfect conditions!
Now packing up and leaving for the jet plane~ (Oops, song reference there!) Yep, I’m leaving my boarding school…tomorrow! And the next time I come back to the UK will be for University! :DD
You can rant all you like to me once you’ve watched SB1. I think I was just so used to the…crappiness in villian-characterisation capcom seems to be immersed in that all I can say to my friend was ‘Don’t expect anything from the dude. He sounds half drunk all the time.’
(Not to mention Mitsuhide. Oh…out beloved Mitsuhide. Did I tell you I play KOEI’s Samurai Warriors? Switching from these 2 games for the first time nearly gave me a heart attack when I first saw Mitsuhide XDD”)
Now…lemme just…..go back to Kojuurou and…indulge………..:PPP
P.s. Pardon the short comment. I’ve been oversleeping….to make up for having to endure 3 hrs sleep a day for the past 3 weeks XDD”
[Cmnt]
Welcome back! Don’t worry; even if I was wondering about your whereabouts :), I knew you knew where you could find me again. Hope you had a nice trip back home!
I must admit I have no idea about how academics work in the UK. Here in Peru the academic “year” begins either in March or July, since classes are divided into semesters, not one-year terms. But since you left the UK at the middle of the year, I’m guessing you’ll be beginning university sometime next year? In any case, I hope you can take some time off to relax from exams, papers and all that jazz. I was never good not thrilled at taking exams at the uni, to the point I studied for some of them one hour prior to taking the actual exam.
Too bad you won’t be ordering any DJs for the time being, but… hey! I check Mandarake in a daily basis and I can tell you Choutano C-E-Z’s DJs are still there and waiting. The downside is that Mandarake doesn’t seem to be stocking any new titles by this circle; another poster told me the circle’s DJs were becoming increasingly harder to get because the main artist, Mongo or Moto Haruko -the name they go by now-, is publishing their own original works. I just hope they don’t forget about the Senbasa fans who still crave more of their ChikaNari’s goodies.
…My packages are arriving, slowly but at the very least they’re safe. The first Mandarake order I had arrived, too, so first thing I did was to snap a photo of Chibi Hisahide and post it to my blog (here, in case you might want to see the headswap I did with Honda). My mother is off in a vacation trip and she took the camera with here, so I couldn’t take a photo of Chibi Hisahide along with the messages in which we declare our admiration for the guy… you know, just to show it to the first Senbasa fan who tells me they haven’t seen a Hisahide Admirer before. Heh.
Ah yes, I should be watching SB1… err, sometime soon. Well, it’s time I get over Nobunaga at last, I think. I haven’t heard spoilers about the Senbasa movie so far, but just by reading at the track list of the OST, and because of all those Pixiv fanarts I’ve been coming across lately, it seems as CAPCOM didn’t spare me and the Immortal Villain Of The Saga made it back. Once again. Ah well.
I’ve only played Samurai Warriors 2, and it was just because of Mitsunari (that was LONG before SB3 was ever announced; in fact, I was looking forward to SB3 just to see what design CAPCOM would choose for Mitsu in its saga). But, yes, I have to admit that series is overflowing with, err, handsome men in all fronts… Heck, I’ll even admit Nobunaga looks so hot in Koei’s games. But you didn’t read me write that, nope.
And it does seem our little exchange was, well, little this time. Even if I still manage to write a longer message than yours. Rest, catch on some beauty sleep, and let’s indulge in some more Kojuurouness :) SB:CH is to be released later this month, after all, and we finally have a PSP, so I think I’ll be getting the game. Even if it’s only to play as Kojuurou, Matsu, Kenshin, Kasuga, Hanbei, Nagamasa and all those people who didn’t make it to SB3 as playable characters for some reason…
[Cmnt]
Hello~ Thank you so much for scanning and uploading Salt by mongo :) I tried to access the site a few days earlier and found that it was down….that scared me a bit but luckily you’re back today and with a clean chic new layout~!
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome!
Ah, yes, sorry about the site being unavailable. I didn’t really need to, but I felt more comfortable putting the site offline while I finished fighting the codes on the layout and all that. And I’m glad you like the layout! Even though it’s not an original design of mine, but a premade layout I modified to my liking…
It might not be the most appropriate thing to say, but I’m sort of… err, happy?… to know that this page would be missed were it to disappear… Of course, I’m also taking that as a cue to update more frequently, too!
[Cmnt]
[Cmnt]
Thanks for sharing your doujinshi! They’re so good!
I really like Te no Naka no Shihou, Ishida actually looks like he’s in peace.
It makes me really wish I understood Japanese Dx
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome! And thanks for your comment.
(I like to think I have good taste when it comes to doujinshi, *cofdon’tpayattentiontomecof*)Nisikiza is one of my favorite IeMitsu circles/authors. I really like the way they portrait the relationship between the two of them, i.e. by taking a peek into their personalities and the interaction between them instead of the simplistic I-want-to-kill-Ieyasu-die-die-die-MITSUNARIIIIIII! premise. That said, I’d wish I knew Japanese, too, ahem. My Japanese is good for making out kanjis for transliteration and grasping some very basic dialogue out there and here.
[Cmnt]
Yes. Your taste is fantastic ° w°)b
I didn’t read much of Nisikiza yet. What attracted me to the series was that there was no pairings, but I’ll read more from that author now. I agree, everyone’s personalities are being portrayed well. I like how the decided to make Chosokabe and Ishida as close friends in their books; it’s just fun seeing Chosokabe being so comfortable around him.Unfortunately though, I haven’t seen any doujinshi of a good Mouri (Though I haven’t read your whole selection yet).
[Cmnt]
:)
Oh, my apologies if I made a wrong assumption. As a yaoi fan (and a doujinshi collector), I automatically assume people who read/are interested in Japanese DJs = yaoi fans, too. And, well, while it’s true the other Nisikiza DJs I have are IeMitsu, the circle does have some that feature no pairing (though, I like to group them as IeMitsu in my page for simplicity’s sake), making it a good example of DJ authors who focus in character development, and not exclusively in rather NC-17 contents.
Speaking of Niskiza, they seem to be fans of Motochika’s… Green? Route in SB3. I haven’t played SB3 in quite some time now, but in any case I’m sure it was Motochika’s third and last Story Mode. Chika is such a congenial, easygoing man who can make friends of anybody (expect Motonari, I guess), and I like the way he “reads” (and understands) Mitsunari so easily and well in the game. It’s just a pity that the game doesn’t give us much insight into the interaction between the two of them… but that’s what DJ are for, I suppose.
Hmm, I’d say Motonari must be the character depicted in a more OOC (out-of-character) way I’ve seen in the whole of Senbasa, fandom-wise. I actually like him, in-game; in the fandom, he tends to be depicted as mellow, amenable, and outright too OOC for my tastes. That said :), I actually enjoy Choutano C-E-Z’s works a lot, and I’d recommend them to you: their depiction of Motonari is quite IC (in-character), I’d say. Even if all their DJs are yaoi and centered in the Motochika/Motonari pairing which, by the way, I deem as practically impossible if you take into consideration the canon (and the animosity between those two characters, I mean).
Again, thanks for your comment! And I just realized it’s been forever since my last update to this page…
[Cmnt]
Ah, no worries. I don’t mind reading yaoi, since almost every doujinshi I find is either yaoi or shounen ai. Nisikiza’s Fearless is really good too, as long as everyone’s in character I don’t mind the pairing at all.I avoid reading anything that’s NC – 17. That’s when it gets awkward for me to read, especially when I don’t see the characters as a yaoi pairing. With that said, I really appreciate your ratings!
I wish the game did expand on their relationship more. I always thought it was funny when Ishida would ignore Motochika’s handshake. It would’ve been cool if they did shake hands on the final path. In the English version of the game, I my favorite scene is probably when Motochika was complimenting how noble Ishida was, and Ishida responded with “I don’t understand.” as if forfeiting your life for your comrade’s faults was normal. Ishida’s concern for Motochika surprised me too in Mouri’s second path. I think I like Ishida’s and Motochika’s relationship the most in the game, as a friendship of course.
Surprisingly Mouri became one of my favorite characters in the game too, I normally don’t like villainous characters like him. It’s a pity that he’s usually OOC in doujinshi’s, to me he’s someone that stands tall and proud; he’s someone that looks down on everyone else. Mellow Mouri isn’t Mouri at all. I’ll read Choutano C-E-Z, as long as he’s in character I’ll still enjoy the story. To be honest I was really surprise when I found out Motochika and Mouri were a popular yaoi couple. I mean Mouri tricked Motochika to kill his best friend and fan girls want to believe they love each other?! I like their relationship as rivals, who loves to get on each other’s nerves.
You’re so awesome. You updated more doujinshi, and I see more “no actual paring” that I want to read :D
Thanks for replying :D
[Cmnt]
I just noticed, you even have Revaival! That’s the series that got me into reading doujinshi. I can’t wait until number 7 get translated by Bliss, it looks like it’s about Motochika and Mouri so I wanna see how their relationship is portrayed there :D
[Cmnt]
Revaival is quite a good series, isn’t it? It’s the one DJ series that made me change my mind about highschool AUs which, I may add, I tend to dislike with a passion. And I’m afraid that’s pretty much the reason I stopped buying the series; at some point, I felt the plotline was stretching just too much (and now it seems the circle will be adding SB3 characters to the cast, namely Ieyasu and Mitsunari), and, well, I’m still no fan of highschool AUs.
…But the series caught my interest again at vol. 6, if only because of Hisahide Matsunaga :) Oh, and because it seems that the series’ main plot (the relationship between Sasuke and Yukimura) is going somewhere, at long last. And now that you’ve mentioned Chika and Nari, I’m sort of curious about vol. 7 too; we only got to see them having some real interaction in the first issue from what I can remember, so it’d be interesting to see if their relationship is pointing toward some direction as well.
As long as it isn’t some, err, mellowy romance, I think I’ll be ok with it.I forgot to add this in my previous comment! I’d recommend Tendou Sensei to you (this update’s, well, update). It is IeMitsu, but the story centers on other aspects of their relationship rather than romantic ones. And if it’s PG-13, that’s because of a kiss near the very end of the story, and some blood over here and there. Quite a nice DJ that’s helping keep my hopes high about the movie…
[Cmnt]
Sorry for the delay in replying! While it’s true I had the final oral exam, the final written exam and the final presentation for the same course within a week (thus prompting my family to ask how many exam I could have for one single course – apparently, several), it comes as truer that I’ve been neglecting this page again. Sorry about that!
Oh yes, looking for doujinshi and/or fanart that isn’t yaoi-related can be quite hard. I know it’s a contradiction to say this (because of my DJ collection), but I’m not very fond of NC-17 DJ. I don’t mind if a DJ does contain some sex as part of the storyline (I see it as a “bonus” :)), but DJ centering exclusively in sex just aren’t my cup of tea. And the ratings? I’ve had some nasty surprises in the past when leafing through DJs (even in online stores! They can take a pic/scan any page of the book, and they choose precisely the one with the more explicit sex scene you can find on it, *sighs*), so I guess that’s why I include a rating on the DJ description. That, and because I wouldn’t like to deal with angry parents of possibly underage visitors to my page, ahem.
I like Motonari because of the traits you described him to have. In the saga, he differentiates from the rest of the cast because he a) isn’t the archetypical heroic, well-intentioned character, and b) isn’t a stereotypical villainous character either. If I had trouble coming to terms with him in SB3, it was because he was just too treacherous for my tastes; I’ve never liked backstabbing characters. And, well! It wasn’t like Motonari wasn’t backstabbing in previous games; it was just that, in said previous games, he never really betrayed anyone – but only because he never allied with anyone.
I’ll contradict the facts again and state that, in spite of my large ChikaNari collection, the pairing isn’t one I particularly like. If I have so many Choutano C-E-Z DJs, that’s because I like their stories, not the pairing in itself… As you put it, how can the couple be so popular, if the only thing Motochika and Motonari have been doing throughout the whole saga is killing each other off? It’s sort of a mystery to me the way fangirls insist they care about each other, love each other, were made for each other, etc. If you were to ask me, I think the pairing became so popular in SB2 (Chika and Nari, though, were always popular on their own – it’s been said CAPCOM promoted them from NPCs from SB1 to subsequent games because of their popularity alone) because of Nari’s story mode in that game: Chika is the one who seems to understand what he is like, and shows him some pity (and kindness). And it was an interesting beginning for a shipping: you have the cruel, proud, cold and distant strategist whom only the kindhearted pirate seemed to give a thought about.
Of course, then we had the other games (especially SB3), which proved that “a good beginning for a shipping” didn’t equal “a good canon reason to ship them”.
That said, and since I think the fandom exists for fans to create and have fun with it (I want to think I’m not that much of a canon nazi when it comes to my pairings), I’m ok with any and all Senbasa pairings – as long as fans don’t insist Motonari is an amiable, kind and mellow man who can be friends with anybody! Oh, and as long as the pairing isn’t lolicon or shotacon, thanks (there are some Masamune/Itsuki NC-17 DJs I won’t come any closer to, and thank goodness I’ve never come across a Nobunaga/Ranmaru one YET).
Uh, I’ll admit I hated Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes so much, I only went through each character’s story mode so I could rant on the mistranslations/changes later on, and I skipped all cutscenes as soon as I realized the dialogs were so mangled, they made no sense (up to this day I still wonder what Mitsunari and Masamune’s last cutscene prior to their duel in the first’ Blue Route ending was about). So, uh, I’m not sure about the cutscene with Chika and Mitsu you mention… I think it was that scene in which Mitsunari hands Motochika his sword so that the latter can kill him, and our pirate goes on saying about how he liked guys like Mitsu (“honest fools who are hated by everyone”)? In the original, Mitsunari tells him to shut up and kill him already, which was so :P for me. Actually, I think of Mitsunari as the very embodiment of the ideal samurai, very honorable even if he says (as per Yoshitsugu’s comment) that he doesn’t need honor, hence offering himself in place of his allies’ faults is something I totally see him doing. Blame on that awful SB:SH game for turning him into a murdering, bloodthirsty man with no sense of honor!
Thanks again for your comments and your words! They’re pretty encouraging, especially when I take like three weeks to update a page, and more than a week to get a reply.
[Cmnt]
Thanks for sharing!
There are some doujinshi that can be used to share do you need it ? (My english is very weak……-_-|||)
[Cmnt]
Sorry for late reply!
…And I’m afraid I must apologize again, for I don’t quite understand your question. If you’re asking whether you can reshare my DJs (in your webpage or a forum, for instance), you’re welcome to do so! Please feel free to share my DJs, or use them for scanlations.
And if that wasn’t what you were asking for, please feel free to leave another comment here :) Sorry, English isn’t my mother tongue either and it doesn’t help that I’m slow to understand some things, too.
[Cmnt]
Hello~ (・ω・`)/
I’m fairly new to the SenBasa fandom so I’m very glad to have stumbled upon your site. ( ゚ ヮ゚)
I practically downloaded all of your KoMasa doujins haha. (I think the Side Black link is busted, though.)
May I humbly request permission to translate those doujinshi into English? (・o・)
That is, unless somebody already has translated them. If they have been translated, may I know where I could get their English versions?
Thank you very much! m(_ _)m
[Cmnt]
Thanks for the notice! I’ve updated the Side Black link..
Sure, feel free to translate/scanlate the DJs. As per Basara scanlations in English, I’m afraid I only know of Bliss (the group has scanlated Senkou and another title by Kyuugou, Hi-Fi, as well as other Senbasa titles, and they’re currently working on the Revaival series), and yes-rhade at LJcom, who has several Senbasa DJs by Kazuma Kaneko.
Again, thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment!
[Cmnt]
Oh, wow, thank you for the links! The Revival series was simply amazing! *A* Side Black was pretty disturbing, though. I guess there was a reason I was prevented from downloading it at first ahahaha. ( ̄▽ ̄;)
And thank you for letting me scanlate your KoMasa doujins! m(_ _)m I’ll be sure to do my best and give you the proper credits, of course. d(≧ω≦)
Again, thank you very much for sharing your stuff! ( ゚ ヮ゚)
[Cmnt]
I daresay Revaival is currently the most popular DJ series in the Senbasa fandom :) I know for sure that earlier issues of the series topped the sales list in Japanese doujinshi stores. It’s a good series, but my interest on it faded because I don’t like high school AU stories. Sasuke/Yukimura is my favorite Senbasa pairing, though, so I still follow the series through Bliss’ releases.
…On the other hand, I don’t mind darker stories such as Side Black. At least one other person told me this DJ was indeed disturbing, so for a while I included a warning notice with the download link. Maybe I should add a warning to it again? (The person who first told me about this DJ also said that she regretted taking a peek at it. To be honest, I didn’t find it so shocking, but then again, some of my friends used to make fun of my, err, tastes in when it came to doujinshi.)
Again, thanks for your comment! I’m always glad to be able to contribute with the fandom, but of course,
getting credited in scanlations/translations boosts my ego, ahemI forgot to mention this in my previous message, but if you need better/bigger resolution scans of any DJ, feel free to ask for them. I can always provide them.[Cmnt]
Yeah, I bet. Revival’s artwork is gorgeous, and the story’s not half bad either. Sasuke’s one of my favorite characters (next to Kojuurou) so I was quite happy to see him as the protagonist in that story. (≧ω≦) I don’t mind the pairings, actually (if there even are “pairings” in that series) because they were tastefully (and subtly) done. I would like to see how it ends, but judging from the seventh book, there would be a couple more books to come. щ(゚Д゚щ)
Ah, you don’t need to put a warning on Side Black, in my opinion. It’s not disturbing in an extremely horrible what-the-hell-did-I-just-see sense, it’s just that it’s the first time I’ve seen Kojuurou sneer like that and be generally sadistic towards Masamune, of all people. *A* I’ve been trying to read it to make sense of what’s happening but catching a glimpse of his face like that distracts me and just creeps me out entirely hahaha. The most I got was that Kojuurou’s a demon of some sort. Hngh. Well, we all have our own tastes, and I certainly don’t mind dark stories every now and then. I’ll get used to that doujin…eventually. |||OTL
And wow, you’re so nice! *A* I’ll be sure to ask you if I need any higher res scans, but as far as I’ve seen, the scans are good enough since I can zoom in and still be able to read the kanji. ( ゚ ヮ゚) I’ll be dropping you a line whenever I finish a project so you could see the end product (and your name on the credits so you could get an ego boost ahaha).
See you around! (・ω・`)/
[Cmnt]
Sorry for the late reply! It’s true I’ve been busy with studies but, if I were to be completely honest, SB3Utage has kept me away from the computer for the past days, too, ahem. I finally got to play it and I’m enjoying every moment of it,
even if I still can’t figure out half of the new features the game has.You know, some fans (myself included) have been wondering how long the Revaival series is going to be. I have this feeling it isn’t going to finish any time soon, especially not now that the doujinshika are presenting us with characters from SB3 (the DJ series began serializing around early 2008, I think). About the pairings… well, it must be because I’m a big yaoi fan and you don’t even need subtext to get me started on the topic, but I daresay there are quite a few on this series :) One of the reasons I don’t think it’ll end soon: the authors seem to intend on focusing on each pairing. I’m following the series because of the Sasuke/Yuki plot, but now that they showed us Hisahide, well, I won’t object to seeing what our man has in store in the story…
I agree with you: Side Black isn’t one of those DJs you’d wish you never saw (er, there are some Senbasa shota and lolicon DJs I’d. Rather. Forget. I. Ever. Come. Across), but it does one at least one moderately squicky moment. Or two. I wondered about that DJ, too. I liked Sengokumaru’s art and storytelling, but I could never find more than the two DJs I have by this circle, and I was wondering whether Side Black happened to be part of a series. In any case, I think labeling it as “AU” would be appropriate enough.
Hey, thanks for the kind comment! Well, think of my offer on rescanning as a way to apologize for the quality of some of them (I still can’t get straight scans, orz). Feel free to ask for better scans any time you need it, but maybe I’d have to apologize if I can get back to you fast enough, *cough cough* Being timely with updates isn’t one of my strong points, I’m afraid.
Oh, and my ego can get a boost anytime, too![Cmnt]
OMG ;___;
BEST Sengoku Basara Doujinshi Site EVER w<
[Cmnt]
I appreciate ur hard work a lot :D
Thank u sooo much for ur contribution and sharing :D
[Cmnt]
Thanks for your comment! The support and kind words are very appreciated (not to mention they’ll also make feel loved, ahem).
[Cmnt]
Thank you very much for sharing all these beautiful DJs. One of my favorite is Senkou.
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome. Senkou was actually the first Senbasa DJ I bought, so it’s kind of special to me as well.
[Cmnt]
Wow, it’s really been a long time since I came here, and look at this, this website had gone into a full renovation… Though I do think that this theme is beautiful as well…
By the way, thank you for your scans, currently grabbing kinbotan ni kotohogu and ai ni tsuite ;3. I really do love them, and even though I won’t come as frequently as I was before, I do think that I’ll still take a peek sometimes, just to leave a little ‘hello’ or something lol.
Oh yeah, after looking at your doujinshi’ data, I just realize something, that Sakura Toumei should be Sakura Doumei. Well, I guess that’s all I’ve got to say, have a nice day, and thank you for sharing senbasa doujinshi’s up till now ;3
[Cmnt]
Thanks for dropping by! And sorry for the late reply, too. I’m glad you like the current layout; I did it in a very rare rush of inspiration (caused by the awesomeness that the Persona 4 anime is). I think it’s the only design of my own I’ve put up in my site in the whole year…
And thanks for the notice about Sakura Doumei, too! Actually, I did know it was “doumei” (for “alliance”), but I follow this guideline of writing down the names and titles as per the original authors’ spelling (and I suppose this is why we’re still writing “Revaival”)… and at the time the DJ was released, the artist had a notice on their website with the translation of the title as “Sakura Toumei”. So I went with it instead. Of course, a couple of years afterward the notice is gone from their site (I checked a couple of days ago), so this leaves me without a valid argument on my favor, hmm… Conclusion: I’ve updated the title and the link with the correct word.
Just dropping by from time to time is fine :) After all, I’m taking so long with my updates, that I’m afraid you won’t find much new content in-between visits…
[Cmnt]
wow, i feel like i’ve just stumbled upon senbasa heaven///
thank you so much for taking the time to upload all of these~
your dedication in maintaining this site is really commendable!
i might be contacting you a bit later about some scanlations that i’m interested in doing!
but anyway, thanks again for everything!! ´ ▽ `
[Cmnt]
Thanks for your comment! Truth be told, I don’t think I’ll still be keeping this page if not for the very nice and encouraging comments I get from visitors such as you.
Sure, feel free to contact me anytime. It might take me some time to get back to you, but I’ll try to eventually catch up.
[Cmnt]
that’s fine! i’m actually a bit tied up with some schoolwork so my request will have to be put on hold… orz. but i promise, i’ll be back to bother you about this eventually! lol.
i know it isn’t the most rewarding job but i, for one, really do appreciate all that you do in scanning&uploading each individual doujinshi! your recent episode with customs sounds like such a headache! i’m always organizing group orders and i know what i pain international shipping is. i hope this won’t be too big of a deterrence in continuing this site! i have yet to find a senbasa doujin collection as thorough and organized as yours! aa, maybe someday i can own a beautiful doujin library too! ehehe.
[Cmnt]
Don’t worry about taking your time; we all know real life happens. Unfortunately. I’m myself taking ages to update this page, so I’d rather have to thank people for being so patient and coping with me :)
Oh God, Peruvian customs are like a joke gone terribly bad. Only that nobody could remotely laugh at it. I know I shouldn’t complain so much; after all, there are countries where customs are way stricter and truly nightmarish. But it’s just that OUR customs are. So. Incompetent. You’d believe they try their hardest or have a natural talent at making your life miserable. In the end, I’ve received three out of the four parcels I had at the mail; the bad part is, it’s the package with the DJ the only one missing! Right now, going back to customs and having to explain why that flat-chested girl is too close to that one-eyed guy almost sounds like a good idea, if the alternative is to have the parcel forever lost in the mail…
I’m very happy to know you think my DJ collection is organized! Ha ha, it must be the one and only thing I care to put in some sort of order :P But come to think of it, I do tend to get a bit… mortified… when my sister or my niece leaf through my collection and don’t put the books back in order. I also organize them according to pairing, artist and release date in RL.
I hope you can build up your own DJ library! After all, it’s always said that everyone should have their own library, right? With tons of beautiful, well-cared and loved volumes…
[Cmnt]
yo! Long time no see..
I think maybe you almost forgot me *laugh*
it had been along time I dont visits your site.. So sorry ; ____ ;
And when I back here I see your news update!!!!!!!
Thank you so much!
So awesome!
[Cmnt]
Hey, hello there!
Of course I hadn’t forgotten about you but, if I must be completely honest with you, I did have to check our past comments to see what we talked about, ahem. Sorry for my bad memory.
I’ve been neglecting my site as for lately and the updates have become more… infrequent. Not that they were frequent to begin with, but I’ll try to keep up with things. Thank you very much for your comment. And a Happy New Year!
[Cmnt]
Hello!
Just to know we will finally work in a Bengal DJ! The first one in your list xD.
Like always I do hope you allow us to use your amazing scans!
Also love your new layout =D
[Cmnt]
Thanks for the comment! And I’ll be so looking forward to seeing the final scanlated version.
…This layout was born from a very rare inspiration moment (I get one of those once or twice a year I think, at least for everything that’s website-keeping related), so I’m thinking I’ll be keeping it for a long time. Until inspiration strikes again, at least…?
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome! I will give ya updates once in a time! *I think it’s being translated? =x=*
….Also I do love your rare inspiration moments! I hope so as well since I do like this one a lot! =D
Also HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!
Hope you had and will have happy holidays!
[Cmnt]
There’s no hurry, of course :) Just look at me: I might take up half a year only to scan and edit a DJ. And I can imagine all the work that a scanlation entails! If it weren’t for people in the fanbase such as yourself, who takes all this work just to share with more fans, I wouldn’t bring myself to maintain this page, either *cough* Actually, I began scanning my DJ so that I could share in the same way scanlation groups did – minus the translation, reediting and, in general, all that amazing work you do, of course!
…Well, actually, this layout was based off a design I made for a Sasuke/Yukimura site that has been a project of mine for long. Since that project wasn’t going anywhere, what not to put the layout into good use, then? With a little change in the header image and the navigation. SaYuki must be my Senbasa OTP, but I’m still very partial to MasaYuki – as long as it’s drawn by bengal, I guess.
Happy New Year!
[Cmnt]
Hello! Thank you so much for sharing “Ujou Souan” by Mongo~ I’m so sad that she has stopped drawing this couple now and has turned to other CP or genres, (it seems she has stopped her doujin circle altogether) yet it’s always nice to read her earlier works. Many thanks again for the generous share and Happy New Year in advance!
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome!
It indeed looks like Mongo has stopped drawing DJ (or at the very least, she isn’t publishing doujinshi as she used to until recently); after six years, she closed down her site. Which poses a bit of a problem for me, since the diary at her website was the only way I had to check on her new releases or doujinshi compilations.
Happy New Year as well!
[Cmnt]
thank you very much for scanning these books. i’ve been craving for more and more basara fanbooks. i love mongo’s book very much. so sad she quits the basara circle. do you have any 温戦’s book? her portrait of ieyasu X mitsunari and motochika X motonari is very deep. highly recommend
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome!
Yes, it’s such a pity Mongo isn’t drawing Senbasa DJ anymore, or at the very least, she isn’t publishing nearly as much as she used to. But I do wish her a successful mangaka career, now that she’s releasing her own original works. If her original works (I haven’t got the chance to check on any of those yet) is as good as her DJ are, I’m sure she’ll be successful.
I’m sorry, but all DJs I currently have are either scanned and up in this page, or listed at this other page of mine. I’m afraid I don’t know about the circle you mention; the name looks familiar somehow, but I don’t think I’ve got any work by them in scans either. Could you please direct me to their website, or maybe Pixiv account if they happen to have any? I’ve checked Mandarake (the online store I buy my doujinshi from), but they don’t any title by the circle at the moment, it seems.
[Cmnt]
I have a few of 温戦’s scans at hand, some in Japanese some in Chinese. If you want, please let me know. Her Pixiv is http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=315335. I’d also like to recommend 夏野菜, whose id Pixiv is http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=332533. 温戦 almost healed my wounded (by mongo’s exit) heart. If you like mongo, you would like the book 鬼ごっこはもうしない, which I have the Japanese version. As to 夏野菜, I have the Chinese version of 夏だ!山だ!川キャンプだ!But it’s from a friend and she doesn’t want me to distribute it. It’s really really one of the best basara fanbooks I’ve ever read. I don’t check this website too regularly. But feel free to drop me a message at the email address I left here.
[Cmnt]
Oh yeah, for got to give you the link for mongo’s original works. It’s in Chinese though. I don’t have too much feeling for the originals. Maybe because her stories of motochika X motonari is too impressive to be surpassed. P.S. Please keep my email address private.
[Cmnt]
Hey! It turns out my memory wasn’t as bad as I thought it to be. Or it could be that I have a good memory for things Senbasa-related only, who knows. Yes, I have 温戦 bookmarked amongst my favorites in Pixiv; I actually enjoy her Mitsunari stories a lot (especially those based on the “Toyotomi era”), but I haven’t been able to find any DJ of hers, not even scans. I also have some of 夏野菜’s works bookmarked, but never really paid too much attention to her (him?) because I’m not the biggest fan of ChikaNari around (even if my Choutano C-E-Z collection tells otherwise), and I used to get lost amidst all夏野菜’s Hetalia fanarts :) Not a fan of Hetalia either, I’m afraid.
Why, I’m not one to spread other people’s emails right and left.
And if I ever do, that’s WordPress’ blame!Just kidding :) Of course I’ll keep your email private, so don’t worry about it.[Cmnt]
Thank you for your scans! Enjoyable and fantastic as always!
I am always amazed at how generous you are with your sharing… thank you so much!
Sorry to hear about all your troubles with the post system, it sounds very frustrating!
Laws regarding international shipping is always a pain to deal with, another thing to think about in addition to the high shipping fees.
And oh the inspections done by customs… I’ve been lucky with most of my parcels, but I cringe to think about their reactions to R18 yaoi stuff…
Happy holidays to you too!
P.S. I love this new theme of yours that you designed!
[Cmnt]
Thank you very much for your comment!
Nah, it’s always a pleasure to share my scans with all of you.
Especially because I get to receive such nice comments, such as yours.I know I shouldn’t complain about our post office or customs, for I know those services (uh, disservices actually?) are way worse in other countries! It’s just that, sometimes, our customs office feels so incompetent and lacking… Oh, and about R18 yaoi stuff? Well, I’ve never thought of any convincing explanation to give if a customs officer ever questions me about it, so I’m trusting the very pretty and artistic DJ covers to offer all the excuses I need! God bless those customs employees for their lousy English, too – I could almost bet they wouldn’t be able to link the word “adults” with it meaning in Spanish, doesn’t matter the word is almost exactly the same in our language. Also, I don’t think they know what “R18″ means, since we don’t use that rating system in Peru… Ignorance might have its uses, sometimes.
I’m glad you like the layout I designed :) Even though the background image dies somewhere half the comments page in Firefox (I still haven’t gotten around to find out why).
Happy New Year!
[Cmnt]
Let me know if the link is broken http://comic.xxbh.net/s/%D4%AA%A5%CF%A5%EB%A5%D2%A5%E9/index.html
Mongo use the pen name 元ハルヒラ now and her twitter is https://twitter.com/harucomoto
[Cmnt]
The link is working fine, thank you very much for it! I did know Mongo was now publishing under the penname Moto Haruko, but only because Mandarake is now listing her DJ with Choutano C-E-Z under that very name. That’s how I came across one of her original works, but truth be told, I didn’t pay much attention to it. And speaking of which, she has such a large number of stories published already! I think most of them are actually short stories, though. And it’s such a pity her original works don’t seem to be that good as her doujinshi stories; maybe she needs some more time to find her two feet now that she’s working on her original manga?
[Cmnt]
Excuse Me,May I ask about「Bengal / ホノハ」doujinshi message?
I like it very much!
「Twinkle Twinkle Big Star」&「勉強不足でござった」、Possible to upload…?
Is it because『The postal service has been very slow because of the season, but also because of airport staff employees going on a strike in the past weeks.』?
This is the reason…?
Sorry my English is poor ˊˋ|||||
A joyous new year!!!
[Cmnt]
Hello there!
Well, I still haven’t received my latest doujinshi order. But, yes! Twinkle Twinkle Big Star is one of the DJs I bought, and that I’m still waiting for the postal office to deliver to me! (The doujinshi order I wrote about in my “updates” was an old one.) As soon as I receive the order, I’ll update my page with the new DJs I got.
…I was checking Mandarake yesterday, and noticed that the site has stocked several DJs by some of my favorite artists (because of the Comiket 81, I assume)! 勉強不足でござった is definitely one of the DJs I’ll buy; right now, I can’t place another order because customs taxes drained all my funds, but I’m hoping to order that and some other DJs in this week. Bengal’s DJs tend to sell out really quickly!
[Cmnt]
Hi Sic,
I’m just wondering if you’ve received my email. I have some Ieyasu X Mitsunari books uploaded for you. If you’ve downloaded them I can unload them.
[Cmnt]
Sorry for the belated reply! Oh, and “sic” is just the name of the blog; it’s a Latin word meaning “exactly as it appears in the original text”, used to point out mistakes and inaccuracies when transcribing texts. I chose that term as the name of my blog because I thought it sort of warned about the many mistakes people were bound to find in my webpage… Well, maybe?
I’ll reply back via email!
[Cmnt]
thanx a lot for an Otani x Ishida DJ
it`s so difficult to find good ones on this pairing =_=
do:mo!
[Cmnt]
You’re welcome!
Ah~~~ yes. Yoshitsugu/Mitsunari is one of my favorite pairings, but it’s so hard to come across good or interesting DJs with this couple… If it weren’t for Pixiv and its amazing artists (and their webcomics, I mean!), I’d be starved of more YoshiMitsu goodness.
[Cmnt]
huh, you`re damn right T_T
I really love this pairing cuz it`s quite dramatic) and Yoshitsugu is my favourite in the whole SB
Pixiv is really good source of such stuff, but there`re still too little arts of this couple, which are really of good quality
I`m working on Mori / Otani Dj right now so it`s quite understandable for me, why artists give some Djs just for sale – it`s oh so difficult to make a really good plot and draw it in a good quality >=<
but still – thanx a lot for posting this scans ^_^
xoxo
